The American left just can't help but lie about everything

When it comes to politics, in principle it would be a good thing to listen to arguments from all sides so that one doesn't end up in an echo chamber where one only reads stuff that supports one's own political view. After all, it's good to challenge one's views from time to time.

However, at least when it comes to the American left, at some point it just becomes a completely moot point. The American left just lies, and lies, and lies, and lies, endlessly. It seems like they can't even open their mouths without lies pouring out. Lying appears to be second nature to them.

Every single claim that they make about their political opponents is an exaggeration, a distortion, or a complete fabrication summoned out of thin air. Pretty much every single claim that they make about the Republicans is just an outright lie. There's example after example after example. Just listen to what they are saying about eg. Elon Musk: Every single thing, all of it, is just a lie, and that can be very easily verified. All of it. And of course this isn't anything new. This goes back at least 8 years.

They can't help but to lie even about small things. Like recently Trump mentioned in a speech that the previous administration had spent over 8 million dollars on "transgender mice" research.

Several news outlets and political commentators started claiming that Trump is a complete dumbass who can't even read, that it's actually "transgenic mice", not "transgender mice", that he should learn to read. Transgenic mice experiments are done to search for new cures for all kinds of diseases. Several leftist celebrities and political commentators laughed at Trump and made fun of him.

At face value that sounds like it could be so. It sounds plausible.

But what do you know, it's once again a complete lie. The White House published a memorandum actually showing the receipts of the 8 million dollars, which had indeed went into "transgender", not "transgenic", mice research. Trump had not misread, and he was absolutely correct. Several news outlets, including CNN, quietly issued corrections to their earlier reporting about this.

We have seriously reached a point (and have been at that point for over 8 years now), that if American leftists make a claim about Trump or the Republicans in general, if you just assume it to be a complete lie or distortion there's an extremely high chance that you'll be right.

At some point it's useless to even listen to what they are saying. They have cried wolf so many thousands of times that there simply is no point in listening to them anymore. At some point it's useless to even try to research if what they say is true, because it's overwhelmingly likely not.

I have stopped bothering even trying finding out if their newest claim, whatever it might be this week, is true or not. Assuming that it's not is a completely safe bet. They have lost all respect and credibility.
