It's rather curious how during the last few months it appears that according to the mainstream media, leftist politicians and political influencers, everything that conservatives and anti-SJWs do is now a "threat to democracy". The mainstream media, especially in the United States, has been repeating that mantra over and over during the past few months. Everything they don't like is now a "threat to democracy".
Of course they don't give a flying fuck about actual democracy. It's just a fashionable buzzword. This fact is quite emphasized by their blatant biased and partisan use of that accusation.
After all, how many times have you heard the mainstream media or any leftist politician state that it's a "threat to democracy" when radical leftists roam the streets harassing and physically assaulting people for their political opinions, ie. engaging in political violence? For all the media is concerned, that's not a "threat to democracy".
Far-leftist activists fire-bombing houses, shops and governmental buildings because of political reasons is not a "threat to democracy".
Them creating lawless no-go zones where the authorities are not allowed to enter and which they govern themselves with firearms is not a "threat to democracy".
Government officials, such as city mayors, directly ordering the police to stand down rather than intervene when these far-leftist terrorists assault people because of their political opinions, or create no-go zones, or invade police stations, is not a "threat to democracy".
Government officials, such as parliamentary representatives, directly advocating for political violence and to overthrow the current government is not a "threat to democracy".
Giant tech megacorporations engaging in biased partisan censorship and banning because of political reasons is not a "threat to democracy". Government officials encouraging these megacorporations to engage in unilateral biased political censorship is not a "threat to democracy".
The highest courts and the FBI outright refusing to even investigate whether some kind of electoral fraud may have been committed, without considering even a single piece of evidence or testimony, is not a "threat to democracy".
But when Trump supporters riot in Washington, suddenly you have all the mainstream media and politicians, including heads of state of other countries, stating how that is a "threat to democracy". Because of course it is.
The fact is that they don't give a flying fuck about actual democracy. It's just the fashionable buzzword of the moment.
