CNN, one of the largest news network companies in the United States, which became essentially a full-on 24/7 anti-Trump propaganda machine since before Trump was even elected, and which ran anti-Trump hit pieces pretty much daily, sometimes all day long, for the entirety of the four years of the presidency, during the past several months had constantly a visible death count on the screen, of people in the United States who had died of covid-19. Quite especially during their anti-Trump hit pieces would this counter be clearly visible.
The very day that Biden was inaugurated as the new president... mysteriously the counter disappeared. Like by magic, CNN isn't displaying the counter anymore. It's almost as if the number of deaths caused by the pandemic isn't so important anymore, now that they can't blame it on the head of state. Curious.
In the summer of 2020 the New York Times published an op-ed written by an US Senator advocating the deployment of military troops to quell the unrest that was in full force at the time, to stop the rioting, looting, arson and destruction of property. It estimated that about 50% of Americans supported such a measure.
The publication of this op-ed got a great deal of backlash especially from other members of the mainstream media, who saw such an action as the rawest incarnation of violent fascism. The two NYT editors who were responsible for publishing the op-ed were fired.
At the presidential inauguration in January of 2021 Washington DC was fully militarized for several days, with over ten thousand soldiers occupying the entire city and imposing extraordinarily strict border security and control to the city.
The exact same journalists who just six months prior decried military deployment to stop rioting to be "violent fascism", were completely supportive and cheering of the military occupation of the city.
And, rather obviously, the exact same journalists who considered the 2020 riots to be completely acceptable and even desirable, riots that went on 24/7 for several months non-stop, and which caused an extraordinary amount of property damage, loss of businesses and even loss of life (with something like a hundred people killed caused directly by the violence), went completely nuts about the Capitol riot and are now calling for stern measures to be taken and special police forces to be created to fight this "domestic terrorism". The exact same journalists who strongly opposed the idea of deploying Federal law enforcement to stop the riots, are now calling for Federal law enforcement to stop any future riots... by the other side.
By the way, did you know that on January 22, just two days after Biden was inaugurated, a large American military convoy consisting of several dozens of trucks and armored vehicles and helicopters entered Syria?
You didn't hear of this? I wonder why that is.
If it had been Trump who had ordered this action, you would not hear the end of it.
