Given how incredibly infested universities (especially in the United States, but increasingly in other countries as well) are with regressive leftist neo-Marxists, it comes as no surprise that more and more of them are actually forcing students not only to toe the line and repeat the neo-Marxist social justice indoctrination, and to never express a differing opinion, but also making more and more indoctrination courses mandatory.
More and more of these universities are, essentially, holding university degrees "hostage" from students, if they ever show any sign of dissent, differing thought, "wrongthink", or unwillingness to participate in indoctrination courses.
In other words, the professors who have in their power to give passing or failing marks to students on mandatory courses, are withholding them from students who have shown any dissent or criticism of the social justice ideology. It's actually incredible how one single professor has the power to stop a student from graduating because of one single mandatory course, but that's exactly what's happening. Since the course is "mandatory", if you don't pass it, you don't graduate from the school, period. Thus one single professor can have absolute power over students. If the student doesn't toe the line, and shows any sort of dissent, this professor can effectively hold the student's degree "hostage" until he submits to the indoctrination.
And, of course, the university administration will back the professor, not the student, because the administration will also invariably consist of neo-Marxists.
This is not just theoretical or some kind of conspiracy theory. There have even been lawsuits by students against these universities, for this exact reason. Lawsuits against professors, and the university administration, because the professor refused to give a passing grade to a student who simply disagreed or presented any sort of alternative opinion, and didn't immediately back off and recant. Such students often become the target of the ire of the professor, and other indoctrinated students.
More and more mandatory courses are being created in these universities that have absolutely nothing to do with the university degree that these students are studying for. Such as, for example, courses on "consent and proper sexual conduct". If you don't get 100% of the questions correct, you will not be allowed to graduate, from whatever field you are studying, be it mathematics, physics, or electrical engineering. Discussion is not allowed. Differing points of view are not allowed. Disagreement is not allowed. You either write every single answer completely correctly, or you don't graduate.
The scary thing is that the vast majority of other students will back the university up, since they are completely indoctrinated. In fact, any dissenter can expect being bullied by other students. The university staff will do nothing to stop this bullying.
