The left can't help but constantly lie: Addendum

Continuing a bit from my previous blog post, two quite prominent examples where the far left, very much including the mainstream media, targeted two individual people with constant lies and distortions are the cases of Nicholas Sandmann and, especially, Kyle Rittenhouse.

Nicholas Sandmann, a student of the Covington Catholic high school, was the main target of harassment by the American mainstream media when a short out-of-context video clip was circulated online where, apparently, he was bullying a native American, and being smug about it. Most far-left mainstream media publications, including the largest ones (ie. CNN and MSNBC) jumped to create a completely false narrative of this event. (In reality what actually happened was the exact opposite: It was the native American, alongside a bunch of black people from the Black Hebrew Israelites, a highly antisemitic extremist cult, were the ones who were harassing the highschoolers, who just stood there doing pretty much nothing. The full video shows this significantly more clearly, and how the short clip was taken completely out of context.)

Even after the actual reality of the situation was made widely known, most of the mainstream media outlets refused to issue a full retraction. Some issued a half-retraction where they changed a few details, but most of them did not change the overall tone and message of the news stories, which painted the high school students as the bullies and the native American as the innocent victim who did nothing. (Most of them completely skipped mentioning the Black Hebrew Israelites who actually started the entire commotion, with the native American just being dragged in by chance. They didn't mention them even after the half retractions.)

Nicholas Sandmann sued many of the mainstream media outlets for defamation, and has settled most of these lawsuits out of court for undisclosed amounts.

However, the Kyle Rittenhouse case is much worse than this.

About a year ago he was attacked by three far-leftist rioters and he shot at them in self-defense with the rifle he was carrying, killing two and wounding one. A year later he went on trial for this, and was acquitted of all charges, because it was one of the clearest cases of 100% legal self-defense that has ever hit the courts. (Funnily, the prosecution was so inept that it actually made a better case for Rittenhouse's defense, than his lawyers did.)

The three people who attacked him and who he shot were all white.

(Incidentally, one of them was a convicted child molester, and another was a convicted wife beater. Both of which seem awfully common among these far-leftist extremists and "antifa" people. Not that this has anything to do with the case, but one has to wonder why the left is so eager to defend them and consider them martyrs, given that they were guilty of crimes that even the left considers heinous and detestable.)

Yet, even though they were all white, that's not the impression that the mainstream media gave. In fact, a few publications directly claimed that Rittenhouse killed two black people (they had to issue a correction afterwards). The majority of the rest were suspiciously vague in details about the skin color of the people who were shot, instead given extremely strong hints (without outright stating it directly) that they were black. After all, they were constantly, and I mean constantly, claiming that Rittenhouse was a "white supremacist" who had "crossed the state line" (something which they emphasized again and again, to this day I have no idea why) in order to shoot "black lives matter" protesters (which is the strongest hint that he shot black people, without outright saying it).

None of that was true, of course (well, other than that he "crossed the state line", which is inconsequential, and I still can't understand why they kept repeating that fact over and over, as if it had any sort of meaning, or made him so much more guilty, somehow).

Yet, even when the actual circumstances were widely known, including the skin color of the people he shot, the far left and the mainstream media still kept hammering on the same lies and distortions again and again, for months on end. For months and months they just kept talking about the incident in a manner that hinted at him having somehow attacked black people, even though he didn't, and how it was an attack on black people, somehow. If one didn't know the details of the case, one very easily gets the impression that he shot three black people. They also keep suspiciously quiet about the details of the event, ie. that he was attacked and physically assaulted by those three people, and even physically hit, before he had fired a single shot, and that he started shooting only after a good amount of attacks (while being knocked on the ground, no less.) They still heavily imply that the people he shot were just minding their own business, participating in the protest, when Rittenhouse just appeared and started randomly shooting at them, intending to kill black people. None of this is even remotely true (and we know this because the entire thing was captured on video.)

It's funny how the leftist extremists are so eager to defend three white people, one of them a convicted child rapist, and another a convicted wife beater. One would think that they would actually be happy when white people are killing other white people, especially wife beaters and child rapists.

But of course they don't do that, because it doesn't serve their narrative.
