I have written about this very subject before, but I was reminded of this recently when I happened to stumble across a YouTube video that talked something about Donald Trump's IQ, or cognitive tests, or something like that, in a disparaging manner.
The contrast between that kind of video, and the kind where some American conservative questions the IQ or cognitive abilities of Joe Biden, is really drastic.
As you might guess, I have seen quite many videos of that latter type. In general, the comment section is relatively free of extreme toxicity, hatred and anger. Most comments tend to be humorous, sarcastic and overall lighthearted. Some may call Biden names, but these names are usually relatively tame (especially compared to those that the left uses to describe Trump). Perhaps a bit surprisingly, relatively few comments consist of political activism, such as asking people to vote for Republicans in next elections. Even the few that are usually avoid overt toxicity and an aggressive or fear-mongering tone.
Of course there are always exceptions, and if you scroll the comment sections of such videos down enough, you'll most probably eventually find some comment that's really vile, toxic, heinous and outright sociopathic. But in my experience the vast, vast majority of comments in such videos tend to be lighthearted and quite non-toxic.
As you might guess, the exact opposite was true in that video questioning Trump's IQ. At least 99% of the comments (without exaggeration) were toxic to the extreme, spewing completely unrestrained hatred and calling Trump (and Republicans overall) the vilest of names and insults imaginable. Any attempt at a "joke" was anything but lighthearted. The comment section just exudes extreme hatred and toxicity. And, of course, the amount of political activism (asking for people to vote for the Democrats) was orders of magnitude higher.
The difference in tone in the comment sections of such videos is like night and day. In the anti-SJW anti-Biden videos the tone may quite often be somewhat derogatory, with people poking fun at and sometimes even insulting Biden, but overall it's relatively tame and lighthearted. It just feels like most people there are having fun and laughing at Biden and the Democrats. Sometimes it may be a bit offensive laughing-at, but it's not extremely toxic.
The tone in the SJW anti-Trump videos tends to be extremely vile, toxic and disgusting. Most people there act like rabid lunatics foaming at the mouth. It's like the farthest possible from people just "having fun" at the expense of Trump and the Republicans, poking fun at them and throwing lighthearted insults. Instead, it's extremely angry and vile rhetoric, throwing very serious claims at them (usually with zero evidence, but obviously they don't care.)
When reading the comment section of such anti-SJW anti-Biden videos, the most negative feeling one might get is just a mild "all these people are just being stupid and ignorant". When reading the comment section of SJW anti-Trump videos, the feeling one gets is that of absolute disgust. These comment sections just ooze absolute hatred and toxicity. It's quite literally like watching Nineteen Eighty-Four's Two Minutes Hate.
