On October of last year I wrote about LegalEagle, a lawyer youtuber who used to make very interesting and didactic videos about depictions of the legal process in entertainment, but who at some point towards the end of 2019 or early 2020 for some reason contracted a really bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, after which his channel has become more and more of an anti-Trump propaganda channel (dragging the entire channel down the drain).
As the election approached he became more and more obsessed with Trump, and his videos started being more and more propaganda-ridden.
Has he gotten better now that Trump is out of office and there's a new president?
Astonishingly, no. In fact, the exact opposite! This man has become absolutely insane. Obsessed.
I wrote in that previous blog post how during the previous 6 months (prior to October of 2020) he had uploaded about 40 videos, from which about 25 were about Trump or political events closely related to him.
As of writing this, February of 2021, the last 40 videos he has uploaded were uploaded in the span of one month. He is creating videos at an almost insane pace. From those 40 videos, 35 are related to Trump. His channel has become a bona fide anti-Trump propaganda channel... even after Trump isn't the president anymore.
This is seriously one of the worst cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome I have ever seen. This is significantly worse than the case of eg. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. This is reaching, perhaps even surpassing, the level of propaganda of CNN and MSNBC. It seems that he just can't pump out enough propaganda. It's almost as if he's trying to catch up with 4 years of missed anti-trumpism. He is 4 years late to the party and now he's trying to catch up.
The scary thing is that he has 1.7 million subscribers, and all of his videos get hundreds of thousands of views, some of them even breaking the 1 million views mark. (And, rather obviously, the comment section of all of his videos is an absolute echo chamber, all of them metaphorically sucking his metaphorical dick. Good luck trying to find even a single dissenting opinion.)
He has become completely blind to the regime he is promoting. To the biased partisan legal system he is promoting. He is, rather obviously, completely free to have and express his opinions. However, I think he has become a complete disgrace of a lawyer. Any other lawyer should be ashamed of him. Seriously.
