Recently ABC News in the United States ran a harrowing story about how a preschooler boy, the son of an illegal immigrant, was returning home from preschool when heartless ICE agents detained him and kept him outside in sub-zero temperatures, trying to see if his family members, most of them illegal immigrants would show up, in other words, essentially keeping the boy as hostage and bait to draw out his family. Carefully selected photos and video clips were shown during the segment to really paint this picture and drive it home, with the cute boy being detained by heartless evil tyrannical gestapo-like ICE agents in the cold of winter.
As I have been writing many, many times in this blog: If you just assume that when leftists make a claim about people they oppose, it's a complete lie and fabrication, there's a 99.9% chance that you would be right.
And once again you would be completely correct.
What actually happened was that ICE agents stopped the car of the father, who had his son with him. The father stopped, exited the car and then ran away, abandoning his son, leaving him behind.
The ICE agents were not "detaining" the boy. They were taking care of him. They took him to be checked and fed, after which they took him to his home, to return him to his family. Said family refused to open the door, refused to take their own family member in, and once again just abandoned him outside with the ICE agents, who had no choice but to once again take him to an ICE facility where they took care of him. He was later reunited with his family who finally did the right thing rather than abandon their own child.
Of course none of this was depicted in the ABC News story, who just outright fabricated their entire narrative and carefully cherry-picked individual short video clips and photos to support their story.
In a somewhat similar recent incident the narrative was that a black family was driving home with their infant child in the car, when ICE agents stopped the car, seemingly because they were black and the agents thus assumed they were illegal immigrants, and proceeded to use tear gas, causing damage to the infant, who required medical attention. This just goes to show how horrendously reckless monsters the ICE agents are!
Yet, in actual reality, the only true thing about that story is the infant in the car getting injuries from tear gas. The rest of the real story is very different: It turns out that the father and mother had driven to a protest and left their baby child in the car alone while they went outside to protest. During the protests some tear gas got into said car, injuring the baby. Rather obviously, the law enforcement officers who were throwing tear gas had absolutely no way of knowing that there was an abandoned baby in one of the numerous cars around.
Leaving a baby alone in a car unattended for a significant amount of time is all in itself criminal negligence and absolutely reckless. Doing so in such an environment is a hundred-fold more so. The parents literally left their own defenseless infant child alone in their car while they went outside to protest, in a very violent environment where tear gas was being thrown. The parents are 100% responsible, 100% guilty of criminal negligence.
Yet, of course, the leftist news story completely distorted what had happened.
And the scary thing is that apparently American news agencies can do this kind of deliberately false reporting with complete impunity. They can lie to the public and engage in completely false political propaganda and smearing campaigns with no consequences whatsoever.
