When American leftists can't find fascism, they'll just invent it

One would have thought that Trump Derangement Syndrome couldn't get any worse than it was during Trump's first term in office. But, somehow, the American leftists have managed to surpass even their own antics from that time.

Every single thing that Trump does is "fascism", no matter what it is. Even things that the Democratic Party itself promoted a decade ago is now "fascism" because Trump does it, such as cutting on wasteful governmental spending or reciprocal tariffs (both of which were endorsed by top Democrat figures a decade or two ago. Not that the American leftists know, or care even if they do.)

The American leftists are so desperate to find "fascism" that they will declare everything "fascism". Rather obviously deporting people who have entered the country illegally is now "fascism".

You know, because that was one of the key criticisms of the fascist regimes of the past, wasn't it? Isn't that one of the things that was notorious in Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany, Pol Pot's Cambodia, etc? They were notorious for deporting people who had entered their respective countries illegally, and that was widely considered one of the biggest crimes against humanity...

Oh wait. No, they weren't.

Deporting people who have entered the country illegally, thus breaking the immigration laws of the country, has been standard practice for at least a century in pretty much every single country that exists. It doesn't matter where that country is, or what kind of government it has, it's standard practice. Every single country does it. To this very day pretty much all countries do it. They might not broadcast it from the rooftops, but if you dig enough you'll find how many people a given country has deported in the last year. All of them do. Heck, even those European countries that have gone completely insane by allowing and welcoming illegal immigrants with open arms, and are spending hundreds of millions of euros to host them in luxury hotels, even those countries still deport some illegal immigrants, believe it or not.

It's universal, and it's completely normal. Every single country does it.

The fascist regimes of the past were not somehow notorious for doing that. Even if they did that, nobody cared. Heck, people probably considered themselves lucky if they got out of those countries, so if anything, it was considered a positive.

But of course because the American left is so utterly desperate to find "fascism" behind every corner and under every stone, obviously deporting illegal immigrants is now "fascism". It was never before in the history of humanity, but now it is, because they say so.
