Two members of the United States Marine Corps, both of Mexican descent, are exiting a public restroom, when they are confronted by a mob of white people who start harassing them, insulting them, throwing racist slurs at them, and even physically assaulting them to the point that they need to be checked into a hospital.
One would think that both the mainstream media and the regressive leftist Twitter mob would be all over this, demanding immediate and harsh action, and using this as a stellar example of racism and violence against minorities. One would think that the mainstream media would make story after story for weeks, and talk about it for years, and for politicians and elected officials to make public statements strongly condemning this action and demanding for solutions to this rampant problem of violent racism.
Yet... nothing. Not a peep. The Twitter mob is completely silent about it. The mainstream media is completely silent about it except for a small local newspaper and Fox News (a famously ultra-conservative news channel).
And why is that? Because the mob of white people who attacked those two marines belonged to a rather inconvenient group of people: Antifa.
In England, a teenage girl had been groomed and raped by staggeringly many people over the years. When these crimes were finally brought to the attention of and investigated by the police... the police arrested the girl, and accused her of committing crimes. The police accused her of criminal activity, rather than the people who raped her.
One would think that the regressive leftist mob would be all over this: What a perfect example of the police blaming the victim, rather than investigating and apprehending the rapists. This is exactly what they have been looking for for many years! One would think that there would be no end to the Twitter activism, and even real-life protests!
Yet, once again, nothing. Not a peep. Even the mainstream media has been very moderate in the reporting of this incident.
And why is that? Because the rapists were Muslim immigrants.
In the past year or so the amount of antisemitic attacks against Jews in New York has exploded drastically. Not a week goes by without some kind of physical assault, harassment, intimidation and/or vandalism against visibly Jewish people, with the reason for the attack made absolutely clear by the perpetrators, who throw antisemitic slurs at them and in other ways. The situation has become so bad and so prevalent in New York, with literally dozens of attacks in mere months, that many Jews fear for their safety and lives, and do not consider the city to be a safe place for them to live anymore.
Once again, one would think that the mainstream media, politicians and the regressive leftist Twitter mob would be all over this, decrying the raise of escalating antisemitism, which does not only manifest itself in words and opinions, but physical attacks.
Yet... pretty much nothing. Some members of the press are cautiously writing about it, and a very small number of Twitter activists are likewise treading on the subject like they were walking on eggshells, and making all kinds of excuses and trying to twist the significance of these events.
Why? Because, once again, the perpetrators of these antisemitic crimes are very inconvenient. The vast majority of them are black people, or Muslims.
The social justice warriors talk a lot, but when the perpetrators of things they claim to oppose are inconvenient, they remain silent and feel uncomfortable talking about it. Suddenly all those principles go out the window.
