Is the United States heading towards a military civil war?

Just a few years ago talks about the United States heading towards a civil war (not just an ideological civil war, or a kind of "cold" civil war, but an actual military civil war with people actually shooting and bombing each other) felt like an exaggeration at best, irresponsible scaremongering at worst.

In this day, however, this possibility doesn't seem to be so outlandish.

As I have written previously, the rhetoric of the far left in the United States has been escalating more and more by the year, and this is extraordinarily dangerous. The racism and hostility of the far left has been escalating more and more, and it just has to stop, or things won't end well.

Of course this kind of rhetoric has been going on for many, many years, going well back even before Trump became president, and even before Obama became president. What has changed?

What has changed is that the vile rhetoric is no longer limited to random university social justice activists shutting down campus events and disrupting traffic on the street. It's not even limited anymore to the thousands of rioters looting, vandalizing, destroying property and burning down buildings (the latest estimates of the damages caused by the 2020 and 2021 riots is about 5 billion dollars, give or take).

No, the rhetoric has now escalated. It's no longer limited to crazy activists shouting on the street. Now state representatives are engaging in the rhetoric, elected officials in the House of Representatives and the Senate are engaging in the rhetoric, the President of the United States is engaging in the rhetoric. Most worryingly, high-ranking military Generals are engaging in the rhetoric.

And by "rhetoric" I'm not just referring to vague and vacuous "there's systemic racism in the country and something has to be done about it".

No, I'm referring to all those people directly and unambiguously calling Trump, his voters, the entire Republican Party, and all conservatives and Republicans "Nazis" and "the greatest threat to American democracy".

They are not holding back any punches anymore. They are directly and blatantly comparing all Republicans, every single one of them, half of the country, to Hitler and Nazis.

It's very worrysome when Senators do this. It's even more worrysome when the President of the United States does this. It's extraordinarily worrysome when high-ranking military Generals are doing this.

And it's not like they are being hyperbolic. They are very explicitly and unambiguously being extremely literal and serious about it.

If half of the country considers the other half to be literal Nazis, no hyperbole, when they consider them to be "the greatest threat that the country has ever faced" (their words, not mine), what do you think may well happen in the near future? When all the highest-ranking politicians and military generals are saying this, directly and in all seriousness, what do you think may happen?

A war is what's going to happen. Armed conflict. Military intervention.

All this because the far left in the United States, which now comprises of pretty much the entirety of the Democratic Party, wants to become the sole power in the country, and to massacre the other side.

An actual armed conflict civil war in the United States is looking more and more likely by the day, instigated by the far left. Expect Soviet-style death camps.
