One of the talking points of Bernie Sanders, which he loves to repeat over and over at his rallies, is how Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in United States history. Ironically, if Sanders were to become the next president, it would actually be him who would be the most dangerous president in the country's history.
I'm not joking. I'm dead serious.
Also ironically, it wouldn't be because he's a strong leader who would push his way. It would be because he's so weak. He's a complete pushover that commands no respect nor authority, not even from his own followers.
Some time ago he was giving a rally speech at Seattle, when activists stormed his speaker podium, interrupting him in the middle of his speech, and demanded to be able to get the platform. He was completely unable and/or unwilling to push back, and couldn't do anything but stand on the sidelines while the bigots were using his platform for their message.
Recently he was holding another rally speech at Nevada, when the exact same thing happened. One of his "followers" stormed the podium, and forcefully took the microphone from him, and he couldn't do anything but to retreat to the sidelines while the bigots were using his platform for their own message.
And mind you, this wasn't some kind of protester, someone opposed Sanders. This was, in her own words, his supporter and "fan".
Bernie Sanders does not command respect nor authority, not even from his own supporters. He's a complete pushover. How is this kind of weak, pathetic pushover of a man supposed to be the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world?
The fact is that he would not. He would be merely a puppet leader, doing the bidding of the people behind him, who would be pulling all the strings. He would probably be compelled to enact even some policies that he personally would probably oppose otherwise.
This is particularly dangerous because the people in his camp, his administration, are composed of radical communists and anarchists, as revealed by, among others, Project Veritas. These are people who are full-on communists, who whitewash the Soviet Union and the soviet gulags, and who advocate for radical revolution.
The policies advocated by Sanders are extremely detrimental and dangerous. For example, if it were up to him, he would impose a completely ridiculous tax to all billionaires, something like 98%, in order to get rid of all billionaires in the country. (Sure, if this were to happen, it would get rid of all the billionaires in the country indeed. But not that it would help the country in any way. These people are not stupid, and they have an endless supply of resources and means to protect themselves. They would simply move all of their money and assets to offshore accounts, and move abroad. So, no billionaires in the country, but the country would not benefit from it at all.)
If it were up to him (and especially the people in his camp), he would probably completely end border control, especially at the south border, resulting in an absolutely massive flood of immigrants, which would be an economic and logistical nightmare that nobody could control. He would probably also try to ban all guns, which would probably end up in a civil war.
Being a complete pushover would also make him a really weak leader internationally. The more unscrupulous leaders of certain other countries would probably start taking advantage of him, and by proxy of the entire country.
Because of this, and especially if he ended up implemented the socialist economy he advocates for, it would probably result in the economic collapse of the country and, as a consequence, would probably cause a world-wide economic crisis.
When Donald Trump was elected the president of the United States I was not worried in the least about it. He ended up being and doing pretty much what I expected (and, in fact, even better, given how well the country has grown economically). However, if Bernie Sanders were to be elected president, I would be genuinely scared, no joke. And I'm not even a citizen of the country or live there.
Perhaps the only glimmer of hope, if that were to happen, is that the separation of powers in the United States does the job it was created for, and keeps him in check. Heck, if we are lucky, perhaps he will get impeached and become the first president in US history to be actually removed from office, because of his blatant violations of the Constitution and laws.
Let's hope it never comes to that.
