The Derek Chauvin trial is nothing but a show trial

Derek Chauvin is the police officer who possibly caused the death of George Floyd. He is being prosecuted for it and the trial has been going on for a few days as of writing this.

It's just a matter of fact that this is nothing but a show trial. A charade.

Normally such incidents would be dealt by internal affairs, in an internal investigation. Even when police officers break the law in performance of their duties, it's usually the police department itself that's taken to court, not the individual officer who broke the law.

Regardless of whether you think that's good or bad, that doesn't change the fact that this case, where the individual officer is on trial for murder, is nothing but a show for the masses, caused solely and exclusively because of the billions of dollars in property damage by rioting and looting. Nothing else. This is nothing but appeasement to a mob, and this particular police officer has been chosen as the sacrificial lamb for this charade.

The mob in question, which by the way includes most Democrat politicians, doesn't care about the actual facts of the case. They don't care what actually caused the death of George Floyd. They could be presented with a boatload of hard, irrefutable scientific evidence that Chauvin did not cause his death, and they would literally not care.

To them, this trial is not about finding out whether Chauvin caused his death or not. They have already decided that he's guilty, and they don't need any evidence or proof. They don't want any evidence or proof. They want to burn him at the stake (some of them literally). But, most importantly, they want the guilty verdict because they want this trial to serve as precedent, and as a political weapon, as yet another argument in their arsenal to pass new laws and gain power. This is not just me hypothesizing or reading between the lines. This is almost exactly what many of them, including many politicians, are saying, quite directly and unambiguously.

The mob has already decided that he's guilty, and they will not hear anything else. They literally couldn't give a flying fuck about any evidence or proof. They don't want to hear any evidence of proof. In their view his guilt is as self-evident as the Sun raising every morning.

This show trial, this charade, is a really bad idea, in my opinion. That's because it doesn't matter what the end result of it will be. If he's found guilty, this will give yet another political weapon in the arsenal of the far left to erode the country. If he's found not guilty, expect yet more billions of dollars in property damage because of riots and looting (while the police just stands by, watching from the sidelines doing nothing to stop it, because apparently rioting and looting is legal now.) Heck, there might be riots even if he is found guilty.

And either way, the narrative will be exactly the same: If he's found guilty, it will be proof of "white supremacy". If he's found not guilty, it will be proof of "white supremacy".

The only thing that's still to be seen (as of writing this) is whether the jury will judge the police officer based on the facts, or to appease the mob. Whether he will be judged fairly based on the evidence, or whether he will be made a sacrificial lamb to appease the mob, as if his fundamental rights to a fair trial didn't matter at all, and the "greater good" is more important and he is an acceptable sacrifice.

The fact is that from the point of view of the mob Derek Chauvin is not a human being. He's a puppet with no human rights. He is just the means to an end. The mob does not care what he may or may not have done. They don't care if he's treated with human dignity and fairness. To them he is not a human being, a person. He's just a useful tool for the mob to get their way and gain power.
