Feminist tries to prove sexism in stand-up comedy

Apparently there's this social justice feminist who is a failure at being a comedian regardless of trying her best, so she made this attempt at proving that this is because of the sexism of the audience, by disguising herself as a man.

There are significantly more male comedians than female ones, and in general, on average, male comedians are considered funnier than female ones (with exceptions, of course). I honestly don't know why this is, and I don't know if there exists any psychological studies into this. Is it perhaps something related to human evolution or something? Who knows.

But of course to social justice warriors this needs no explanation because the reason is clear. It's the same reason as for every single thing where men and women are different: In other words, because of patriarchy and sexism.

Thus she wanted to prove this is so by disguising herself as a man and going to a comedy club. To prove that the exact same jokes would be more well received when coming from a man.

Was she right? Was the audience laughing at her jokes like there's no tomorrow?

No. There were like 20 or 30 people in the audience, and she was constantly getting that really awkward and cringey situation where just like one or two people laugh a bit at the jokes.

The video shows the aftermath, where she's literally crying due to her complete failure and embarrassment.

She's crying that she will quit being a comedian because she's a failure as both a woman and a man.

I'm not sure, however, if she fully acknowledges having been wrong about the feminist hypothesis that the exact same comedy is better received when coming from a male.

Of course the average person does not laugh at a joke more if it's said by a man. It's all about the content, the wording, the mood, the delivery, the voice and the mannerisms. People don't somehow find the exact same thing, said in the exact same manner, funnier if it comes from a man.

Why do men, on average, seem to be more talented at this than women? Who knows. But social justice warriors certainly pretend to know (and ignore any evidence of the contrary).
