I don't think transsexualism is a thing

The famous Neil deGrasse Tyson some time ago published a rather infamous cringe video where he supported transsexualism and, among other things, claimed that a person could feel "80% male and 20% female today, and 80% female and 20% male tomorrow" (or something along those lines). Which, of course, is the general sentiment and claim of the modern far-leftist ideology. They also claim that some people are "born in the wrong body" and that they "feel" as being the opposite sex of their body.

I don't believe this is a real thing. Or, at a minimum, I don't believe this is a completely normal thing.

Why not?

Because I myself don't "feel like a male", or "feel like a man". Or a female. Or anything of the sort.

I'm not exaggerating, making it up, or just denying reality based on principle and stubbornness. I'm being 100% serious and genuine: I don't even understand what "feeling like a male" even means. What is that?

I can feel happy, I an feel sad, I can feel comfortable, I can feel anxious, I can feel depressed. I can feel confident, I can feel insecure, I can feel smarter than someone else, I can feel stupider than someone else, I can feel pride and satisfaction for an accomplishment, I can feel shame for something I have done, I can feel remorse, I can feel empathy, I can feel like I understand what someone is going through. And, of course, I can have physical feelings: I can feel pain, I can feel tired, I can feel nauseous and so on and so forth.

I understand what all those feel like. However, I am being 100% sincere and genuine when I say that I don't know what "feel like a male" or "feel like a man" means. I don't experience that. I don't get a sense of "I feel like a man" in any way, like I could feel being happy or sad or anxious. I honestly do not know what "feeling like a male" means.

I don't think it's a real thing. I don't think it's a psychological feeling that someone can have. People don't "feel" like a particular sex, or a particular "gender". They are that sex, physically.

This is no different from not "feeling" other factual physical things either: I don't "feel like a human". I am a human. I don't know what "feeling" like a human would even mean. Our brains are not somehow wired to "feel like a human", like we can feel happiness or sadness. It's not a thing. It's not even conceptually a thing.

What I strongly believe is happening with "transsexuals" is one of two things:

a) It's a delusion of the mind. No different from, for example, the rare psychological ailment of "alien hand syndrome": The feeling that your hand (or other limb) is not your own, and not under your control. Or any of the other delusional body dysmorphias that exist: The feeling that something is "wrong" with your body in some manner.

People don't usually "feel" that their body is "normal" and "as it should be". They can think about it and come to that conclusion, but it's not a feeling. It's not something you instinctively feel, like you feel happiness or sadness. Thus, if someone feels like there's something wrong with his or her body, even though it's physically healthy, that's not normal. It's an abnormality in one's brain patterns, something that doesn't normally happen. It's a psychological ailment, a psychological problem. It's a delusion. If someone genuinely believes and "feels" like being in the "wrong" body, it's no different than for example alien hand syndrome.

b) They are just making it up. Being "trans" is very fashionable and comes with a huge amount of perks from the far-leftist ideology. You get adulation, you get special treatment, people on your side treat you like an ascended being, like a saint.

It could be just completely made up out of thin cloth, just to get that adulation from your own side, or it could just be a manifestation of a fetish, which is also very common. For decades these fetishes were manifested for example in what was for the longest time called "transvestism". Nowadays there's just a different name for it: "Being trans" (which, as a bonus, comes with a huge amount of perks with it.) Some of these people might even been so inculcated into the ideology that they might even genuinely believe that they are "trans".

It's surprisingly easy to convince people of all kinds of things, with the proper indoctrination. Some people genuinely believe they can levitate, others genuinely believe they can knock people out without touching them, and others genuinely believe they are "trans" even when they actually aren't: They just have a fetish. Or are just seeking for the approval and adulation of their side.
