Things they don't want you to know about Barack Obama

To the regressive left in the United States, and by extension to pretty much the rest of the western world, Donald Trump is Hitler incarnate, while the previous president, Barack Obama, was pretty much a saint who didn't do anything wrong.

Yet, the vast majority of people, especially leftists, are completely ignorant of many of the things that Obama did that are actually worse than Trump has ever done so far. Many of these are worse (at least from the perspective of the regressive left) than any other president during the entire history of the United States has done.

For example, Trump is being constantly blamed and vilified for wanting and enacting stronger border control, especially on the southern border. What almost no leftist knows is how many illegal immigrants were deported from the country during Obama's presidency, under the direct policies of his administration.

Over 3 million.

That's right, over 3 million illegal immigrants were deported from the United States via direct policy and action by Obama's administration. This is more than under any other president in history.

Obama was, during his presidential campaign and the entirety of his time in office, a very stern and vocal advocate for tighter border control, and for expediting the deportation of illegal immigrants.

Those detention centers at the southern border of the country? Most of them were built under Obama. The "separation of families" and "caged children"? Yep, started in full force under Obama. (That infamous picture that misleadingly appears to show a couple of children in a "cage", even though they really weren't? Yep, taken over 3 years ago, when Obama was president.)

Ironically, Trump actually passed an edict to lessen the number of separated families at these detention centers.

In the history of the United States, as of writing of this blog post, there has been only one single president who, when inaugurated as president for the first time, supported same-sex marriage and gay rights (and made it clear in his inaugural and subsequent speeches). If you guessed that was Trump, you would be correct.

Yes, Obama did not support same-sex marriage during his presidential campaign nor immediately after having been inaugurated. And this is not just a "guilty by omission" thing, where he just didn't say anything about the subject (and therefore I would be accusing him of "not supporting same-sex marriage"). No, this is him directly and unambiguously stating, several times, that he does not support it. It's not something that was unclear or indirectly inferred. This was directly stated by him, several times, during his presidential campaign and first years in the office. You can find videos of this.

Barack Obama also achieved another record, unprecedented by any other president up to that point: In peace time (ie. ignoring times of war), during his administration a record number of military attacks and bombings were performed, and a record number of foreign nationals were killed in those bombings. President Trump has so far, at least as of writing this, not come even close to those numbers.

And the infamous travel bans? They were actually planned, and the list of countries devised, during Obama's administration. Trump simply took that list and enacted it. (You can blame Trump for enacting it, but Obama's administration is not blameless. They planned it too, and came up with the list of countries.)

Good luck trying to make the leftist press, or any social justice warrior, admit to any of this. Good luck trying to see these facts about Obama being prominently displayed in his Wikipedia page.
