One of the major mass delusions arguments of the far left is that both gender and even biological sex, and the notion of the gender binary, are nothing but "social constructs", there's no such thing, it's a vast spectrum, and people are not fixed to one particular form of gender or sex.
If a biological male says that he's a woman, then he must be considered a woman, period (or else you'll be harassed and physically assaulted). If a biological female says that she's a man, then she must be considered a man, period. The individuals word on this is gospel, and it must not be doubted or questioned under any circumstance.
Moreover people must be supported and encouraged to define their own gender, sex and sexuality. If a person wants to "transition" from one sex to another, that decision must be supported and helped in every possible way. It doesn't matter what they are transitioning to, it must be supported and accepted. And, above everything else, that decision must not be questioned or criticized in any way. You wouldn't want to be a bigot and a Nazi, now would you?
Yet, do a bit of research of what the general attitude of the "trans" community is towards people who first transition from their biological sex to the opposite, and then regret it and "detransition" and go back to their original sex and gender.
If the far-leftist narrative were accurate, then that person would be supported no matter what he or she decides. It shouldn't matter in the least what that person is transitioning from, or transitioning to. Whatever that person decides, it must be supported and encouraged. That person, and that person alone, decides what his or her sex and gender is, and nobody has any right to criticize or be anything else than fully supportive.
Yet, that's not what's happening. The "trans" community, by far and large, considers detransitioners "traitors" and, by far and large, treats them like trash, and like the enemy. Even in the mildest of cases detransitioners are badmouthed, criticized in bad faith, and kicked out of forums and discussion channels. In the worst cases they are harassed, bullied and even worse.
This is not me just inventing this. It's widely known, and in fact I happen to know a trans person who directly says that's the case. Any person who has been part of those communities and has stopped being "trans", ie. detransitioned, and made it known, will quite often tell the same story: Even in the very best of cases getting the cold shoulder from the once-so-welcoming and warm community, instead of support.
This is one of the (many) reasons why you know that the far left is full of shit. They say one thing but in practice act very different. They say they are supportive of people, but in reality they only want certain kind of people, and people to do only certain kind of things.
