When a black man physically assaults another black man in front of millions of viewers, the far leftist ideologues are in a bit of a pickle. If one of them had been a white man then the narrative would be crystal-clear immediately (regardless of who was doing the assault and who was being assaulted). However, when both of them are of a highly protected class, the narrative is much more difficult. What to say? Whose side to take? Should we be taking sides? How can we somehow pin this on white people, or in any other way use this to attack and deride white people?
Well, I suppose that since it was a black man "defending the honor" of a black woman from a "highly insensitive and offensive" joke, the choice of who to defend is made a bit easier. And thus, the far left chose to defend Will Smith, ie. the man who committed the physical assault. It certainly helps that physical violence has been completely normalized among the far left, so they do not consider it a despicable barbaric act, but something justified.
But still the dilemma remains: How to somehow attack white people with this? Everything must somehow be used against white people, no matter what. So of course many of them tried to squeeze something out of it. Take this tweet by a blue checkmark leftist activist, for example:
This tweet is absolutely marvelous and hilarious in its complete lack of self-awareness and how incredibly, although inadvertently, racist it is. This person quite clearly did not understand what kind of racist sentiment she was writing.
If we unpack and analyze what she is saying, it is essentially this:
"Black people normally wear a mask. A mask of civility, reason and rationality. In this instance, however, the mask of this one black man fell off, and his true inner self came out for a brief moment. The true nature of a black person: A person who cannot control his emotions and responds to perceived verbal transgressions with physical violence."
Without even realizing, she's implying that black people are violent by nature, and unable to control their emotions to the extent that they will respond to insult with physical violence, and that the only reason why they don't usually do this is because they are "wearing a mask", in other words, hiding their true selves, their true emotions, their true nature. And when this mask falls off, this scares white people (who expect civility and reason from other people, and get scared in the face of emotional overreaction and physical violence.)
Sheesh, Shay Stewart Bouley. Way to dispel the stereotype of black people being violent savages...
You might want to check your racist thoughts a bit.
