Almost three years ago I wrote a rather pessimistic and cynical post about how the fight against the regressive left and the invasion of the totalitarian fascistic social justice ideology is most probably a lost cause and pretty useless.
Not much has changed, really. The regressive leftist social justice ideology is invading more and more of western society, and not much has been achieved in terms of stopping them, or even slowing them down.
I wrote back then that one of the main reasons for this is that the opposition, the anti-SJWs, are independent individualist free-thinkers who do not have a herd mentality nor a mob mentality, and thus trying to organize them into a long-term large-scale movement is like trying to herd cats.
While it's good that people do not have a herd mentality and that they are independent free-thinkers who feel free to disagree with each other and present their dissenting opinions, the sad thing is that, indeed, it's pretty impossible to organize them for a large-scale long-term movement.
This is the reason why one of the core parts of the military is, to put it completely bluntly, remove independent thinking from soldiers and make them adhere to a herd mentality. That might sound really bad when put that way, but it's a practical thing, no matter how bad it sounds. An army cannot work if every soldier questions every order and every decision, if they stop to think and discuss the merits of every order given to them, and if they start bickering and disagreeing among themselves, resulting in infighting. Battles are not won if every time a commander orders a platoon to take over a hill, if the soldiers start objecting, presenting alternative dissenting opinions, discussing how exactly it should be achieved or whether it's a good idea in the first place, and what the merits of the idea are. They should just do what they are told, and coordinate to achieve that goal, without letting infighting stop them from doing so.
Another aspect of intelligent independent free-thinkers is that they don't like beating a dead horse.
There's an adage that says that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting a different result. In other words, if a particular action fails, and it keeps failing after repeated attempts, the intelligent person will try something else rather than futilely keep doing the same thing over and over to see if, perhaps, it will work this time.
Also, the smart person stops doing something that's futile, if it becomes clear that it's futile. Such as trying to convince a stubborn person about something.
And that's, sadly, the problem here: Intelligent free-thinkers give up too easily, if something doesn't work, or doesn't catch on. They don't stubborningly keep beating the dead horse in the hopes that, maybe, it's not actually dead and will actually stand up and start running.
Many years ago the youtuber and political influencer Carl "Sargon of Akkad" Benjamin tried to start a campaign to end gender studies departments in universities.
This was a good idea. As I have been writing again and again, the current social justice ideology that's invading everything started from universities, and it can only end if universities are completely reformed. Removing "gender studies" and other social justice departments and professors from universities would be a great start.
He tried to push this idea for some weeks, and made several videos about it... and when it didn't really catch up nor resulted in any larger movement and didn't give any tangible results in a few weeks... he just gave up and stopped talking about it.
And that's the problem. Independent intelligent free-thinkers give up too easily when something doesn't work. They don't keep pushing. They move to something else and forget about it.
And that's why nothing is achieved.
In contrast, the social justice ideologues do not give up. They will push and push and push and push, come hell or high water, even if it takes years or literally decades, until they get their agenda through. They never, ever, ever give up. They use their hordes of brainwashed drones to keep pounding on the subject, and to keep pushing the agenda, until it finally gets through, catches up, and infects everything.
And we are literally talking about decades. For example, in the 80's and 90's almost nobody paid any attention to the "multiculturalists" and their agenda and their claims that westerners are racists and that unrestricted immigration is the solution to everything. But they kept pushing and pushing and pushing, and now we have literally tens of millions of immigrants flooding western countries, with governments welcoming it, and anybody who raises an objection is shunned, attacked and even legally punished.
That's how they succeeded: They kept pushing the agenda until they got through. They did not give up.
Anti-SJWs, however, give up. They stop beating the dead horse if it doesn't show any sign of life in the first few weeks or months. They move to other things and forget about it. And that's why nothing gets done. And that's why the regressive left is winning.
And try telling this to an anti-SJW, and chances are that he'll disagree, because that's the nature of free-thinkers. Oh, the irony.
Or, alternatively, he'll agree and... forget about it and move to something else. It's too much work to get this notion into the wider skeptic community and to do something about it. It's beating a dead horse, you see.
And then they complain when the social justice ideologues invade yet again one of their favorite hobbies, companies or institutions, or when one of them yet again gets censored by the big leftist tech corporations. Because complaining and giving up is so much easier than doing.
