No, "non-binary" is not a real thing

Many modern far-leftists, seeking for attention and acceptance, and following the popular trend, as classifying themselves as "non-binary". They carry that label like a badge of honor, like a medal that they carry around in order to get admiration and adulation from their peers.

But that entire concept does not stand any scrutiny. What does it even mean?

From the literally hundreds of different attempted definitions, perhaps the most common one is: "I don't identify as a man or a woman."

My response to that is: So, what does it mean to "identify as a man"?

I'm 100% serious with that question. What is that supposed to mean? Being "a man" is not something you "identify" yourself as: It's something you are. I don't "identify" myself as being a mammal: I am a mammal. I don't "identify" as being a human: I am a human. Likewise I don't "identify" as a being a man: I am a man. It's a physical characteristic of what I am. "Identifying oneself" as something is completely irrelevant to that question. It's a complete non-sequitur. It's like saying that table "identifies" itself as "a table": That's completely meaningless nonsense.

Some might respond to that with: "Ok, it means that I'm not either a man nor a woman."

Same question again: What does it mean to "be a man", according to these people?

I know what "being a man" means, but do they? They have demonstrated again and again that they don't (most famously being by far and large completely unwilling and unable to answer the question "what is a woman?")

This also crumbles under even the slightest of scrutiny: Being "a man" is a physical characteristic (that's completely unrelated to what happens in your brain). If someone who is physically a man claims "I'm not a man nor a woman", what does that mean, exactly? If he physically is a man, does his words make that somehow untrue? Does it somehow change reality?

"But what about intersex people?"

99.999% of people claiming to be "non-binary" are not physically intersex in any way, shape or form. Even if we conceded that "being intersex" is synonymous with "being non-binary", that still rules out those 99.999% of the rest of the people claiming to be the latter. Nor are they even claiming being "intersex": To them "being non-binary" is a thing that happens in your brain, not a characteristic of your physical body. Alluding to "intersex" people is just a complete cop-out that tries to dodge the question.

Some may even be so bold as to define it as: "I'm neither male or female."

And once again: What does it mean to "be a male"?

I know what it means, but they can answer that question even less than they can "what is a woman?" And their go-to excuse of "what about intersex people" doesn't work any better here either.

Being "non-binary" is not a thing. It's complete nonsense. It's nothing but wordplay and fantasy. It's no different from saying "I'm a sky fairy with seven wings and three horns on my forehead." It's nonsense.
