Japan is one of the safest, most peaceful, cleanest, and most high-trust societies in the entire world, where crime rates are extraordinarily low, streets are extremely clean and safe, and where respect, politeness and good manners are an integral core part of the culture into which every Japanese is grown into.
Unsurprisingly, for quite a long time Japan has likewise had some of the strictest immigration policies in the world: The amount of people granted permanent residence in the country has been extremely small, and the requirements for it have been extremely strict. Even if you get work in Japan, it's still much more likely that you will be granted temporary residence (that needs to be renewed at regular intervals) than permanent one.
However, in recent years the far-leftism cancer has infected some Japanese politicians who are set on opening Japan's borders and let millions of immigrants from Africa and the Middle-East in (to this day I still can't understand why precisely those two areas, but that's how the far-leftist cancer operates.)
And what do you know, Japan is already experiencing the first symptoms of this: Broken and robbed vending machines (something that was almost non-existent before), already several riots by large groups of Middle-Eastern immigrants, and significantly increased noise levels in public transport, among other symptoms. (Japan is notorious for having some of the quietest public transport systems in the world: It's very frowned upon to talk loudly, or even speak on the phone, or make any other kind of noise when traveling using public transport. People are taught since young to be quiet and respectful in these places so as to not annoy anybody.)
All hope is not lost for Japan, though: The Japanese are not oblivious to all of this, and can see what has been happening in Europe and in the US, in countries where millions of immigrants from Africa and the Middle-East have been welcomed.
There have already been mass protests by Japanese people, demanding that borders be closed once again, and those recent immigrants to be kicked out. There are also some politicians who are running their election campaigns on these policies.
Japan is in luck because they are still in the very early stages of the far-leftism cancer, so there's still time to kill it. It's not yet too late, as long as they act quickly.
However, like biological cancers, it can be really malignant and aggressive, and killing it might not succeed regardless of heavy treatment. Only time will tell if Japan succeeds in it.
In the worst case scenario, if they don't succeed in killing it, and the country ends up opening their borders to millions of immigrants, the days of peace, safety, cleanliness and high trust will unfortunately be over.
