There are all kinds of videos where someone goes to the streets and challenges people to do something, often in the form of "beat me in this, win 100 dollars".
The absolutely most horrendously irresponsible challenge of this form I have ever seen, and there are several such videos out there, is "beat me in armwrestling". And not like in some kind of professional setting, or in a gym full of bodybuilders or anything like that, but on the streets with regular people.
Never, ever, EVER do that! It's horrendously irresponsible!
The major problem with this is that most people don't understand how dangerous it is for an untrained person to do armwrestling at full force, trying to beat someone stronger than them.
Somehow the average person doesn't realize how easy it is to get a very serious injury from this. Torn ligaments, torn tendons, torn joints, and even outright broken bones. And not just like some minor fracture, but the entire humerus broken in half.
Bones are strongest against compression and stretching, they are weaker against bending, and weakest against twisting. Twisting can cause the a so-called spiral fracture, where the entire bone just snaps in half, with the breaking point shattered to dozens of small fragments. This is one of the worst possible bone fractures, as it requires extreme medical intervention, titanium supports to be inserted, and a recovery time of months. Full functionality of the arm might or might not be recovered.
Spiral fractures of the humerus are, in fact, one of the most common bone fracture injuries in armwrestling, and happens most often to untrained and poorly trained people.
Well-trained amateurs and professionals have not only trained to have extremely strong and thick muscles, tendons and ligaments, but more importantly they know the technique to how to arm-wrestle relatively safely, minimizing the amount of twisting that happens to the bones.
Regular people don't have this training, which is why them arm-wrestling using full force can be so extremely dangerous, especially against someone stronger than them. They don't have the physical training, and they don't know the technique to do it in a safe manner, and most importantly, they don't realize how dangerous it is.
This is not just theoretical. If you search enough you can find videos of people, usually untrained amateurs, literally breaking their arm while armwrestling. Snap! Arm hangs in a completely unnatural angle because the bone broke in half.
This is why these challenges are so utterly irresponsible. NEVER do this!
