Why I fear Trump will not win in 2020

Many people keep commenting how the American Democratic Party is in complete chaos, they are eating themselves, there's infighting, and way too many presidential candidates, and that all this is just ensuring that Trump will be re-elected in 2020.

But the thing is, it doesn't matter how much chaos and how insane the Democratic Party may be. The presidential election system makes that completely it completely irrelevant. It doesn't matter if there's a million presidential candidates, or how few votes each one of them gets, the election system will still make it so that one of them will be running against Trump in the end, no matter how large the difference in number of votes between them may be. Trump can get 100 million votes and the other candidate can get 100 votes, and it makes absolutely no difference; they will still be running against each other in the end.

And it doesn't matter what kind of person the Democratic candidate is, or what his policies are. Even if he's an inbred baboon whose IQ is 35 and who can barely form comprehensible sentences, the Democrats will vote for him because it will be a vote against Trump. I'm absolutely convinced that if you were to ask this of anybody who is daily protesting in the streets, they will tell you exactly that.

They could literally resurrect Stalin or Hitler and make him the Democratic presidential candidate against Trump, and the democrats will vote for him, just because it's a vote against Trump. His policies may be to nuke all the major cities in the country, kill hundreds of millions of people, destroy the entire economy and the country, remove all law enforcement and all borders, and bring back slavery, and the democrats will still vote for him, because it's a vote against Trump.

The thing about the 2016 election was that many democrats didn't vote at all, because they thought that Hillary was going to win anyway. You can be damn sure they won't repeat that mistake again. You can be damn sure that every single one of them will be at the voting booth, voting against Trump, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. They won't give a flying fuck who the other candidate is, they will be voting against Trump.

Add to this the fact that many states have declared that they will be voting against Trump in the electoral college, if it comes to popular vote vs. electoral college vote. (Of course they haven't stated it so directly and openly, but that's quite clearly what they mean.)

For these reasons I fear that Trump might actually not win in 2020.

If that's so, then our only hope is that whoever Democratic candidate gets elected is actually a typical politician and will not uphold his campaign promises (which will certainly be about removing borders and destroying the country.)

Either way, if the Democratic candidate wins in 2020, it will most probably cause what Trump's election was (and still is) claimed to have caused. They claimed that Trump's election emboldened and legitimized "white nationalists" and "racists", and that racist crimes subsequently increased (which is, of course, just a complete fabrication; such a thing never happened.) Ironically, I'm certain that this will happen if the Democratic candidate is elected: Rather than calming things down, it will only encourage and embolden the radical left into even more violence. It will act as a signal to them that they should squash the enemy (in other words, republicans) by any means necessary, very much including violence, even lethal violence. So, if the Democratic candidate gets elected, it may well be that, quite ironically, rather than calming things down it might even result in an actual physical real civil war. And not one started by the republicans, but by the extreme left.
