Hurting children for ideological reasons is nothing new

The current far-leftist cult is set on chemically and literally surgically castrating as many young people as possible. What's really scary is that this cult has infiltrated much of the medical community especially in the United States and, sadly, in more and more other countries. And this does not mean merely that these medical doctors are facilitating these castration procedures, but as has been demonstrated numerous times, they are outright promoting and pushing for these operations. Several victims of these operations have come forward to describe how the doctors actively and very aggressively pushed their parents to agree to the operations, well before the victim had the life experience and knowledge to make an informed decision on his or her own. Many others have also testified how these hormone treatments and surgeries are being suggested as solutions to the most minor of issues.

This isn't anything new, sadly.

Quite infamously there was a period of time of several decades when lobotomies were pushed by several medical doctors as a panacea for all kinds of ailments, all the way from severe psychiatric disorders to extremely mild symptoms like mild depression, anxiety or difficulties concentrating. Not only were these doctors prescribing lobotomies to adults who did not know better nor had the emotional fortitude to say no, but most horrifying they were prescribed to young children, with these doctors actively manipulating the parents to agree to the procedure. The similarities are eerie.

Of course this isn't the only past example. Another example, while somewhat different in nature (in that it did not try to cure some kind of disease or ailment) was in other aspects even closer to this current horrible trend: And that's the so-called castrati.

The Catholic Church, at least in some parts of the world, during the 17th and 18th centuries, were castrating young boys who had extraordinary singing voices, in order to preserve this childlike singing voice into adulthood. Unsurprisingly, there was a strong religious, even cult-like thinking behind it, as the Catholic Church thought of children as innocent, sex as sinful, and thus thought that they were actually doing a favor to these boys by removing this source of "sin" at the same time they were preserving their angelic voices. (While castrating boys was never an official practice of the Catholic Church, it was not officially banned either, and castrati were often hired into choirs used by the Church, making it semi-officially legitimate.)

Castrating people for this purpose was made illegal by the Italian government in 1861 and in 1878 the Pope banned the hiring of castrati into the Church, effectively semi-officially banning the practice.

Lobotomies were banned as a medical procedure by most countries during the period of 1950-1980. (It's actually scary to think that dozens of completely unneeded and extremely dangerous and crippling lobotomies were still being performed well into the 1970's in some places.)

Today we look back in horror at these horrendous practices, especially given that they were more driven by ideology than science. Certain doctors were prescribing lobotomies left and right while deliberately and purposefully ignoring and hiding the numerous disastrous (and sometimes even fatal) cases where it had gone horribly wrong. These doctors were not prescribing the lobotomies out of ignorance because of not yet having enough experimental data: They were actively and deliberately hiding the data, in order to make the procedure sound safer than it really was. This was driven by ideology rather than genuine desire to help and do no harm.

My only hope, and I'm saying this absolutely genuinely from the bottom of my heart, is that the horrendous current practice of chemically and surgically castrating young people is banned and ended as soon as possible, and that years from now people look back to these times with the same kind of horror as we today look back at the times of lobotomies and castrating boys to preserve their singing voices.

(I also hope that all the doctors who are currently pushing these horrendous procedures are not only stripped of their medical licenses, but also put on trial for crimes against humanity. However, I'm not keeping my hopes up for that. I would still be fully content if the practice is just banned in the first place. These butchers getting some justice would be a really nice bonus, but the ban would be the most important thing right now.)
