Many news organizations as well as independent journalists and political commentators have noticed how dozens and dozens of the richest people in the west, especially the United States, have been building for themselves huge underground bunkers at remote isolated islands, worth hundreds of millions of dollars each. There have already been rumors that these people, the CEOs of huge megacorporations and other rich people, are expecting what they are calling "the event", which assumedly is some kind of complete collapse of western civilization, probably ending in an absolutely massive amount of unrest, civil wars, and outright wars, with the death count probably in the millions.
Well, to me this is not a surprise at all. I have myself been writing in this blog for almost 10 years now that the west is on the brink of economic and social collapse, just like so many vast civilizations of the past.
No matter what we may want to think, these CEOs and super-rich people are not stupid. They see exactly what you and me can see, very clearly: The western civilization is going to collapse, sooner or later. The western civilization has been on an ever-accelerating path of complete self-destruction for the past 30-40 years, with just the last 10 years doing more damage than the previous 40 years combined.
And it's not showing any sign of stopping, or even slowing down. There is no end in sight. The west is self-destroying more and more rapidly, and there's nothing stopping it.
These rich people are not stupid. They can see it. They can see the millions and millions of foreign nationals invading the west, and how many western countries are already struggling, on the brink of collapse. They see how in more and more western countries the citizens have been brainwashed into hating and attacking each other, half of the population hating the other half so strongly that it's only a matter of time before the corpses start littering the streets.
An outright nuclear war is not completely out of the real of possibility. China is becoming more and more desperate by the year, and North Korea is very trigger-happy (and, apparently, they might even have successfully developed nuclear weapons.) When they see the west is collapsing, they might take advantage.
It is not a question of if western civilization will collapse. It hasn't been for several decades now. It's only a question of how fast. And these rich people can already see the signs, so they are preparing. They will not be here when it inevitably happens. They will be safe in their hundred-million-dollar bunkers built on remote inaccessible islands, with security measures that would make even the military of most countries jealous.
There is no stopping it anymore. Enjoy the little time of peace you still have left. There isn't much of it left anymore.
