Recently the far-leftist media (which includes almost all of the media) has been fawning over an incident that they so much crave (because of the sheer lack of them, even though they keep claiming year after year that such "hate incidents" are constant and daily).
According to the narrative some pro-Palestine crowd was peacefully protesting somewhere in the United States when a truck driven by some islamophobic white supremacist rammed onto the crowd, in a clear case of terroristic hate crime.
They made one mistake in their narrative, though. And that was actually releasing the video footage of the incident.
Which, unsurprisingly, gave a rather different picture.
For starters, the protest was, unsurprisingly, illegal because it was blocking traffic without permission, which is against the law. (But, as we have been seeing for the last 8 years or so, it appears that in most western countries, including the United States, committing crimes in the name of "protesting" is not illegal, even though there's no statute saying so. The police just refuses to arrest and prosecute the criminals.) This was not just some peaceful gathering of people in front of a governmental building or in some park or plaza closed to traffic, and the car illegally driving there, ramming onto people.
Unsurprisingly, this was in the middle of a highway, blocking traffic, illegally.
Also unsurprisingly, the car didn't actually ram onto the people. It was just a driver trying to pass through and, like it seems to be the norm today, the "protesters" deliberately and purposefully getting in front of the car in order to try to stop it. In fact, the "protesters" completely surrounded car, started kicking the car, etc.
In an actual legal peaceful protest the police would have been informed, the protesters would have got permission from the city and the police, and the police forces would have closed the road and redirected traffic in order for the protesters to be safe. And in an actual peaceful protest if a car for whatever reason still was driving on that road (eg. because it came from a nearby parking lot or the like), the protesters would just give way to it so that it could safely go through.
In the modern fashion, however, these "peaceful" "protesters" did not give way to the car but deliberately got into its path and, moreover, started attacking it. The driver did not ram through the crowd, he was simply trying to escape the attackers, but didn't drive over anybody.
But of course the far left can't let such a juicy opportunity to pass by, and are distorting the event for their own purposes, to finally have proof of the countless "hate crimes" and "terrorist attacks" committed by "white supremacists."
