Inconvenient victims of discrimination

I have written several blog posts about "inconvenient perpetrators of hate crimes", where extremely egregious and unambiguously racism-motivated violent physical attacks are being committed almost daily in the United States against minorities, such as Mexicans, Asians and Jewish people, yet these hardly make headline news because the perpetrators of these attacks are inconvenient for the narrative (meaning that they, usually, are either black, or if they are white they are members of antifa.)

Sometimes the situation is inconvenient from the opposite direction. In other words, rather than the perpetrators being inconvenient, it's the victims of racist discrimination that are inconvenient, and thus the far-leftist cult and mainstream media don't really know how to approach the situation.

The most prominent example of this is the situation that Americans of Asian descent have experienced for like a couple of decades now, especially when it comes to college and university admissions.

Most American universities have been engaging in "affirmative action" for a couple of decades now, where they have different thresholds of admission for different people based on their race. The threshold for admission is usually lowest for black people and native Americans. Perhaps a bit surprisingly, the threshold is not highest for white people. They have the second-highest threshold.

The highest threshold for enrollment in most American universities is for Asian people. In other words, the minimum admission test score required for university admission is highest for them, even higher than for white people.

In other words, they are the most racially discriminated-against people in the United States when it comes to university enrollment.

The situation has been so bad for a decade or two that many Asians will outright lie about their race in the admission forms (something that such forms shouldn't be asking in the first place!) by claiming to be... white! That's right, many Asians have been claiming to be white, and hoping nobody notices, in order to get a lower threshold of admission.

Needless to say, Asian Americans have been campaigning against this kind of discrimination for a long time (pretty much as long as it has existed). Also needless to say the recent Supreme Court decision that such race-based "affirmative action" is unconstitutional and thus illegal was considered a great victory among these activists.

And, once again, the far-leftist cult and the mainstream media are treading on eggshells when it comes to this. Unsurprisingly they heavily oppose this Supreme Court decision and are strong advocates for racial discrimination in schools (so not much has changed in the last 200 years). But that means that they have to somehow justify the fact that Asians are the most discriminated-against in these admissions. Somehow they have to paint these Asians to be in the wrong when they are advocating for ending the racial discrimination that they have been experiencing for decades.

The mental gymnastics are, once again, a delight to watch.
