Sometimes conservatives are not that much smarter than leftists

There's this really strange phenomenon happening mostly in many parts of the United States where far-leftists are demanding the police forces to be defunded and abolished, and have been so vocal and influential about it that some cities have actually made significant cuts to police funding, it this being openly being stated as the reason. Unsurprisingly, whenever this has happened, crime rates have immediately gone up. The most baffling thing about the phenomenon is that it appears that the people advocating for it don't understand what it actually means in practice, in real life. How it will affect their own life, their own communities, they themselves. They appear to have this strange cognitive separation between the police forces that are "evil" and need to be abolished, and the police forces that they instinctively call whenever they have been the victim of a crime or are in some kind of danger. This leads to quite hilarious instances where people loudly protestin...

Why some people (mistakenly) think they are eg. "kinesthetic learners"

A graphical artist youtuber whose videos I often watch likes to emphasize how he is "a kinesthetic learner", making that a core point in several of his videos (especially in one where he was being taught by someone how to make simple electric circuits to add led lights to his sculptures). "Kinesthetic learning" means essentially "learning by doing", in other words, you learn most efficiently by actually doing the thing you want to learn, rather than just it being explained to you, or seeing it done. Other forms of learning, at least categorized with this same idea, are "visual learning", where something is learned best by visual means, eg. by pictures, graphs, illustrations and demonstration videos, or seeing someone doing it, "auditory learning", learning something via speech, and "read/write learning", learning something by reading about it, or writing down what you have learned (the idea with this last one is that when you ...

Western reporters seem desperate to find something positive about the Taliban

When that demented clown that some people elected into the Oval Office because they hated Trump so much tried to virtue-signal by "ending the neverending war", ie. pull all American troops from Afghanistan, it took but mere days for the Taliban to take over via military force (and the unwillingness of the Afghan government and meek military to do anything about it). And the Taliban couldn't even wait for a week before they started kidnapping women and girls, shooting at crowds of people trying to flee the country, and horrendously torture people who worked with the American soldiers, uploading videos of it online. There are heartbreaking videos of women crying and pleading American soldiers to save them, to take them away from the country, because they know what will very soon happen to them, and if they can't get out, there's absolutely nothing they can do about it because nobody will help them. The Taliban are monsters and subhuman scum that do not deserve to be...

How will the far-leftist SJWs twist the Taliban's actions in Afghanistan?

As is making the news everywhere, Biden decided to pull all American troops out of Afghanistan, and it took just mere days for the Taliban to make a coup and take over via military force. These terrorists started immediately terrorizing the country and its citizens. They are torturing people who cooperated with the American soldiers (and uploading videos of it online), they are shooting at crowds of people, and people trying to escape the country, and they are already taking young women and girls as sex slaves. At this moment the far-leftist mainstream media, especially in America, seems to be split between whether to whitewash and downplay this, or whether to report on it accurately. Some reporters on the major far-leftist news networks are doing the former, some the latter. We'll see which side the scales will end up. However, I'm more interested in seeing how the far-leftist radical neo-Marxist social justice warriors are going to twist the whole situation. After all, accord...

North Korean defector learns her place in the oppression stack in America

Yeah, North Korean woman, listen to the white people and learn your place in the oppression stack. You cannot do anything to people higher on the stack. They can do anything they want to you. That's how it works here in the west. What's that? You thought you were fleeing totalitarianism and oppression, to a free country? Sorry, this is modern America. Learn your place. That "freedom" and "equality" thing? That's a thing of the past. Antiquated. Racial segregation and stratification is the law of the land now. That's the new progressive.

The far left should be attacking China, but they don't

The far-leftist ideology is gaining more and more power in the west by the day, at an ever-accelerating rate. They are becoming bolder and bolder, their rhetoric has become more and more aggressive and openly racist and oppressive, and they are invading every single aspect of society at astonishing speed. Corporation after corporation, institution after institution, organization after organization, school after school has not only been invaded by the far-leftist ideology, but is at an increasing rate becoming openly activists for that ideology, shoving the ideology in their policies and everything they do. You can quite clearly see that the furor with which the far-leftist ideologues are fighting has been accelerating at an unprecedented rate in the last couple of years. They can already see the end. They can already smell victory. They can already grasp the end goal: Gaining absolute and total power. Instituting a totalitarian regime that controls everything in society with an iron fi...

The lies of 2nd-wave feminism

Cosmopolitan is a surprisingly long-lived monthly fashion magazine that was first published in 1886. At some point in the 1960's or 1970's or so it became essentially a feminist propaganda platform, promoting so-called 2nd-wave feminism, and which was extremely influential and has had an effect on western society ever since. Recently one of their main writers, who was very prolific in the 1970's, has come out telling that what she wrote in the magazine in the 70's were nothing but a bunch of lies. Everything she wrote about "the sexual liberation of women", all the rants against traditional housewives and how women should have careers outside the home, and about equal roles for the husband and wife at home and so on and so forth, she didn't believe herself. In fact, while she wrote all those things in the 70's she was a traditional stay-at-home mother and housewife herself. She didn't practice what she wrote, nor did she believe any of it. She say...

American school teachers have declared war on parents: Addendum

Some weeks ago I wrote about how school teachers in the United States, who for years have been indoctrinating their students into far-leftist ideology mostly in secret, behind the closed doors of the classroom, and against curriculum, have in recent months become completely open about it , and determined to teach these things completely regardless of what the parents want, or even what the law may say. So far so that several teachers unions in the country have openly declared that if any of their members get sued for breaking the law on this issue, they have special funds dedicated to fighting it in court, and that they are ready to fight in court. They will teach far-leftist ideology to their students and there's absolutely nothing that will stop them. Not the parents, not even the government itself. I would like to amend that post by noting that, in fact, not all school teachers agree. There has lately been a surge of teachers quitting their job in protest, because they are bein...

Can an atheist logically oppose abortion?

Many Christians have a rather distorted view of what "atheism" is and what "atheists" think. Or, at least, what the Christians think that "atheism" should be like, if taken to its logical conclusion and extreme (and, thus, if an "atheist" does not hold these positions exactly, he's "not really an atheist"). This is particularly common among American Christians (especially those of the fundamentalist persuasion), but is also somewhat common elsewhere as well (especially since in the last couple decades American Christians have been so effective at spreading their belief system all over the world via the internet). One of these distorted views is that atheism cannot have any sort of objective morality, no objective moral principles. Which, when talking about this particular subject, would mean that atheism does not put any value on someone else's life, and thus an atheist cannot logically and consistently oppose abortion. These Ch...

The ACLU has been completely overtaken by leftist fascists

The American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU, founded in 1920, is one of the biggest and most influential human rights organizations in history. Their accomplishments in advancing the rights and freedoms of people, especially in the United States, have been extraordinarily significant and life-changing. The ACLU was one of the principal actors in ending racial discrimination in universities, and the main actor in advancing the concept and principles of free speech there. (In fact, it was the ACLU that successfully eradicated the oxymoronic concept of "free speech zone" in universities across the country, making the entire campus a "free speech zone".) In fact, for the longest time the ACLU was what you could call an extremist free speech absolutist organization. They upheld people's right to free speech to the absolute extremes. Perhaps one of the most notorious examples of this was when one of their lawyers, a Jewish man, successfully defended in the 1970's the...

A 60-hour work week is absolute insanity

There has been quite a lot of talk in recent years about workers' rights and things like work hours in the United States. (Most of this discussion has been almost invisible because it has been buried by everything else that has been happening in American politics.) One thing that appears to be quite common in the United States, it seems, is that many people work 60 hours a week. I honestly cannot understand how that's even possible. A normal work week, which is 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, is 40 hours. Even if you worked 6 days a week, that would still be just 48 hours. A 60 hour week would mean that you work 10 hours every day, 6 days a week. This sound to me like absolute insanity. I would literally die if I had to work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. I'm not using that word as hyperbole or exaggeration. I think I would literally die , as in actual physical death, if I had to work that much. Or, at a very minimum, I would end up hospitalized. I'm completely serious h...

Has Matt Parker gotten over his "they" pronoun fetish?

I have commented several times in this blog about Matt Parker, most famous for his appearances in videos by the popular Numberphile YouTube channel, who is a popularizer of mathematics and who has made many extremely interesting, didactic and entertaining videos, and how at some point he apparently became convinced or indoctrinated into trying to shove the use of the pronoun "they" into the public consciousness by constantly using and overusing it in his videos, to the point of it being so obnoxious as to make his videos almost unwatchable (and, indeed, there are several relatively recent videos of his that I have still not watched in their entirety because I couldn't get past the first quarter or so because of his constant obnoxious use of "they" to refer to every single person he ever mentions). Judging from the videos he has uploaded, I estimated that he became indoctrinated some time in late 2019 . His use of "they" was often very obnoxious, and h...

EU's environmental actions are idiotic

The EU has decided to really crack down on emissions and pollution in order to combat global warming, and very soon all member countries will have to implement restrictive rules eg. on car traffic. I can't but shake my head about the complete idiocy of the measures being taken. Let's not even go into the fact that countries like China, India and Australia are some of the biggest polluters in the world, and that many of the EU countries are some of the smallest polluters in the world, and that it would be much more beneficial to start with the biggest polluters rather than harass and economically ruin the small countries that have comparatively very little emissions. No, let's stay within the EU for this one. What's so idiotic about these measures? The fact that there are literally hundreds of coal power plants within the EU , which are being completely ignored by the EU and these restrictive measures. Nothing is being done to them. On the contrary, and as incredible a...
