The American judiciary system is corrupt

The judiciary branch of the United States government is supposed to be one of the three main independent branches of government, a part of the "checks and balances" system, one of whose tasks is to supervise the other branches so that they stay within the law. The role of the judiciary branch is absolutely crucial and critical. If the judiciary branch becomes corrupted and partisan, it's a fast way to disaster.

And as I have commented several times before in this blog, it appears that the judiciary branch of the United States has indeed become corrupted.

After the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and his administration, several states, as well as several members of Congress, formally filed a lawsuit against several other states for voting irregularities.

The Federal Court quickly dismissed those lawsuits without any consideration. In other words, the Federal court refused to even investigate the matter, refused to see or hear any evidence or testimonies, and refused to have the plaintiffs' present their case and show their evidence.

And it wasn't even as a response to a motion-to-dismiss by the representatives of those accused states. The judge did it all on his own, completely unprompted.

Regardless of whether there were voting irregularities or not, this is quite a clear case of bias and corruption in the judiciary system. The courts just outright refused to investigate, refused to hear any evidence, and essentially judged in favor of the accused states completely bypassing the judiciary system.

This is not the action of a court of law. This is the action of a dictator, a tyrant.

The police officer Derek Chauvin was tried in a court of law for allegedly causing the death of George Floyd. The trial was a complete show trial by a complete kangaroo court. He was found guilty of all charges, even though the charges were contradictory and cannot possibly be done at the same time. (Most particularly, a person cannot logically be guilty of 2nd degree and 3rd degree murder at the same time, for the same killing, because those two are mutually contradictory. 2nd degree murder is an unplanned, non-premeditated murder, while 3rd degree is a planned premeditated murder. They cannot both be the case at the same time, for the same action. Yet he was convicted guilty of both, which is contradictory.) The judge should have vetoed the guilty verdicts of contradictory charges, and either demanded or chosen one of them over the other. But he didn't. The judge allowed contradictory charges to both have a guilty verdict.

The latest clear case of judiciary corruption is the case of Rudolph Giuliani, especially compared to that of Kevin Clinesmith.

Rudolph "Rudy" Giuliani is most well known as the former major of New York. However, he is also an attorney of law, and he was one of the lawyers who represented Trump in 2021.

Several of the lawyers who represented Trump were threatened with "ethics violation" charges, merely for representing Trump. One cannot stress enough how astonishingly corrupted such threats are, as they go blatantly and egregiously against the most fundamental core principles of the judiciary system: Every accused deserves a fair trial and legal representation, no matter who they are or what they may be accused of. This is one of the most fundamental cornerstones and pillars of a free constitutional civilized society that's based on fundamental human rights. Attorneys of law who represent an accused must absolutely be able to do so without any threats, intimidation or consequences, because they are merely upholding the fundamental human rights that every person has. Threatening and intimidating lawyers for representing the "wrong" person is not only astonishingly corrupted, it's arguably and in fact a crime against human rights.

Well, words are words, and are just hot air... except when they stop being just words and actually result in actions.

And that's exactly what is now happening to Giuliani: Not only is he being investigated for "ethics violations", but in fact a court decided to suspend his lawyer license during the investigation, even before the results are out.

Courts can do that, but only in situations where there's a high probability of the lawyer being an immediate danger to the practice of law. This could be, for example, if a lawyer has been accused of illegal activity regarding his practice of law, such as falsifying and fabricating evidence, and this lawyer is currently representing someone and there's suspicion that he has been fabricating evidence in this case as well. The suspension of the license is a kind of emergency procedure intended to make sure that this ongoing lawsuit isn't corrupted by the actions of this lawyer who is suspected of evidence manipulation.

That's not the case with Giuliani. He's being accused of "ethics violations" for lying to court, or making exaggerated or false claims... over six months ago. That's right, he's accused of presenting false claims when representing Trump over six months ago, and the judge deemed him to be such a danger to the practice of law that he decided to suspend his license.

One could argue whether this is actual corruption of the judiciary system, or merely the judge being overly cautious. However, it becomes a clearer case of corruption when we compare it to the case of Kevin Clinesmith.

Clinesmith is a lawyer who formerly worked for the FBI, who admitted and plead guilty of falsifying a document, an email, related to the Trump Russian collusion investigation in 2017.

He wasn't just merely accused and investigated of it. He admitted having done it. He got a slap on the wrist for this crime (some months of probation and community service) and, to my understanding, his license to practice law was never revoked or suspended, and he still has this license to this day.

So, a lawyer fabricates evidence against Trump, and does not get his license suspended. Another lawyer is Trump's defense attorney in another case, gets accused of "false statements" presented to court, and he gets his license suspended six months later.

Surely there is not any kind of political bias here...
