Several free open-source projects are once again, as of writing this, virtue-signaling for the millionth time with some completely made-up bullshit event, like this:
As if "trans" people were not already "visible" enough, given how much they have been pushed to the forefront everywhere by everybody in every single aspect of society. It's all nothing but empty virtue-signaling, political activism and social engineering.
What they are saying there is also quite clearly completely made-up. KDE, and all the other open source projects out there, would be completely fine without the self-appointed "trans contributors". This is nothing but empty words placating to an agenda (not even to people, ultimately, but to the political agenda).
Also it is extremely clear that the vast, vast majority of those alleged "trans contributors" are not actually transsexual. They just claim to be.
A common response to that is "why would anybody lie about it?"
That's pretty obvious: Because the far-leftist activists give people every single possible incentive to lie about it, to make it up, to pretend. They are quite literally treated as some kind of saints, some kind of elevated beings to be venerated, to be adulated, to be love-bombed, to be placated to. They receive all kind of worship, adulation, respect, compliments, positivity, and all kind of societal perks and protections. It's essentially an elite class of people who are far above the "normies", with special protections, special treatment, special status.
And the thing is, there are literally zero requirements for declaring oneself to belonging to that privileged elite class: The person's own word suffices, and that's it. Anybody can just claim to belong to the elite class, and everybody is aggressively forced to respect that declaration without question, without scrutiny, without doubt, without dissent.
It's essentially: "If you want to belong to this privileged class of people, with all the extra protections, perks, adulation and worship, you simply have to say so, and you are automatically in the club, and everybody is forced to take your word for it, without question."
So why would people not lie about it and make it up? The entire system has been specifically custom-built to reward making it all up, to make people pretend.
So no wonder the amount of self-appointed "trans" people in these software projects is unusually high: Pretty much all of them are either pretending, in order to get a free pass to the elite club, or have been deluded into perhaps even believing that they are "trans" (even though they actually aren't in any way.)
And that's by design! It's not an accidental unintentional side-effect of some well-meaning activism. The far left quite explicitly wants as many people as possible to declare themselves "trans". It validates their activism and their claims. The more "trans" people exist (whether real or not), the more justified they feel for their activism.
(One telling sign that people are faking and making it up is if there's an unusual amount of "lesbian trans-women", as I have commented before. These are, of course, just regular straight blokes who like women. By declaring themselves "lesbian trans-women" they get the best of both worlds: They can still remain straight dudes who like women, while at the same time get all the benefits from the privileged elite "trans" club.)
