For some reason there has recently been a flood of videos on YouTube about some "experts" arguing against "the covid-19 vaccine", how utterly dangerous it is, and how it's a crime against humanity, some even outright comparing it to a genocide.
I don't know why there has suddenly been a surge of such videos, but they are not only tiresome, they are also quite dangerous fear-mongering.
For starters, all of these videos talk about THE "covid-19 vaccine". As if there was just one. Or at least just one single type of vaccine.
Quite clearly these videos and these "experts" have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. There is no "the" covid-19 vaccine. There isn't one single such vaccine, or even one single such vaccine type. There are multiple ones, using different activation mechanisms. As Wikipedia lists:
"Platforms developed in 2020 involved nucleic acid technologies (nucleoside-modified messenger RNA and DNA), non-replicating viral vectors, peptides, recombinant proteins, live attenuated viruses, and inactivated viruses."
Yes, many of the vaccines that were developed use the old traditional attenuated or inactivated viruses as the activation mechanism, not the scary spooky RNA mechanism. And those are just the different mechanisms used in these vaccines. There are multiple variants of each type of vaccine, making up several dozen completely different kinds of covid-19 vaccines. There's no "the" covid-19 vaccine. There is no one such vaccine. These "experts" are spouting complete bullshit and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
Secondly, literally hundreds of millions of people were vaccinated. How many of them died or suffered from severe complications because of it? The number is extremely low. In fact, it's much lower than the severe side effects of many other medications that are prescribed on a regular basis. Yet these "experts" are not complaining about those.
And yes: Every single medication has possible side effects. All of them. There is no such a thing as a medication that has no possible side effects of any kind to anybody, no matter what. Such a thing cannot exist. There is nothing in this world that if it enters your body has zero chance of any negative side effects.
Take any medication you may have at home, be it prescription or over-the-counter, and read its instructions, and you'll find a list of possible side effects. Always. (In most countries the possible side effects have to always be listed by law.)
If all these anti-vaccers consider the covid-19 vaccines to be a "crime against humanity" because they might have some rare side effects, then every single medication is equally such a "crime". In fact, any food product is such a "crime" (yes, any food product you eat or drink can have side effects. For most of them the chances may be extremely small, but they are not zero. Vaccines are no different. In fact, some food products have a higher chance of negative side effects than any of the vaccines.)
It's funny and highly ironic that pretty much none of these anti-vaccers, including the very "experts" talking about it, have any problems in taking eg. pain medication, completely ignoring that those actually have a higher chance of negative side effects than any covid-19 vaccine has.
Hypocrites.
