The recent debacle of the false narrative created around an incident involving some school students and Native Americans is a perfect example of how dangerous the current regressive leftist ideology is.
Hundreds and hundreds of people, most of them adults, many of them celebrities or otherwise influential people, rushed to Twitter, Facebook and other online social media websites to incite violence against those students. These are not just indirect veiled threats, but direct calls to action. To physically beat them, to enact a school shooting, to burn the school down. Not just to physically beat them, but in some cases to literally murder these kids.
This would be wrong even if the narrative were 100% correct. It only makes it a thousand times worse that those students are actually completely innocent, and the narrative is completely false. Those students didn't do anything wrong. They did not seek the Native Americans (it was the other way around), they did not harass them, or insult them, or anything. They did not express any racist or disrespectful views, they did not chant anything of what was claimed (such as "build the wall"). Yet people, adult people, many of them celebrities with a lot of influence, are directly and overtly calling for these kids to be physically assaulted, their lives ruined, and even murdered.
Some of these people have since deleted all of the posts they have made, when they have realized that they jumped the gun. However, some of them are still doubling down, and refusing to accept the actual facts of the situation.
All this just goes to show how incredibly dangerous the current regressive leftist mentality and ideology is.
How? Because it shows how the ideology is normalizing violence for political reasons (or for any reason, for that matter). Violence for political reasons is, by definition, terrorism.
It has become completely normal for regressive leftists to promote, incite and in some cases even outright commit terrorism. Acts of violence and intimidation for political purposes. Whenever there's an incident that they don't like, whether it's genuine or fabricated, it has become par for the course for regressive leftists to call for violence, even outright murder. Adult people are seriously and overtly going to online forums and inciting violence, and expressing their desire to see violence committed against other people, because of their political opinions.
And do you know what the scariest part of this is? For the most part they can do that with complete impunity. No repercussions whatsoever. For example, there are several example of tweets that incite people into physical violence being reported to Twitter, and Twitter responding that those tweets apparently don't break the rules of the site, and Twitter refusing to do anything about it. The tweets stay, and the people writing them face zero repercussions.
The mainstream media, at large, is on the side of this regressive leftist terrorism. Whenever right-wing activists incite people into violence, or commit acts of violence, it makes headlines and the mainstream media just can't shut up about it for weeks. But when left-wing activists incite people into violence or outright commit acts of violence, the mainstream media stays mostly silent about it. For example, when left-wing terrorists harass and physically assault two Mexicans, shouting racial slurs at them, the mainstream media at large remains completely silent about it. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
This is extremely, extremely dangerous. We are becoming more and more a society that normalizes violence. A society where physical violence is being more and more seen as a normal acceptable course of action. A society where the mainstream media does not condemn this violence, but itself incites into it, and remains silent when acts of violence are committed against people with the "wrong" political opinions.
