Why do American "sovereign citizens" always say "I'm a living man"?

I have written about the American "sovereign citizens" several times (although they don't call themselves that anymore because of the bad reputation and the FBI having declared them domestic terrorists, but their beliefs and conspiracy theory remain exactly the same to this day), and how the conspiracy theory that they believe in is absolutely enormous and explaining it full detail would require an entire thick book or a 4-hour-long documentary video. However, here's a summary of one part of this conspiracy theory that's relevant to the question in the title of this post:

The American "sovereign citizen" conspiracy theory asserts and believes that the United States government is, secretly behind the scenes, behind the public facade, a private corporation, which operates like a private corporation, and which considers citizens to be "abstract corporate entities", each with their own super-secret bank account worth billions of dollars (in which bank exactly, I have no idea, probably a very secret one that only the government itself knows about.) They believe that the "abstract corporate entity" that's the citizen is completely separate from the actual physical human being, and that the government (for some reason) only has jurisdiction over this "abstract corporate entity" and not over the human being him or herself.

They also believe that (again, for some unstated reason) the government can only exert jurisdiction and authority on a person if he submits to it and considers himself to be equal to the "abstract corporate asset". And, moreover, they believe that the person doesn't need to know this nor be aware of it, and that this acceptance of jurisdiction can (again, for some strange reason) be given inadvertently and without knowledge of what's happening, and moreover that the government (again, for some reason) is allowed to essentially trick people into inadvertently granting the government jurisdiction over the person, by making the person sign any governmental paper (no matter what it is) or even say particular words. Sovcits believe that even if the person has no idea what's going on and is being tricked by the government into unknowingly granting jurisdiction over them, that's exactly what's happening and it's legit from the government's point of view.

They also believe that (again, for some reason) the "abstract corporate entity" is secretly marked and identified by writing the person's name in all-capital letters, rather than with only the initial letters capitalized.

Thus, of course, the sovcits, who believe they have figured all this out and are "in the loop" and know all these secrets and everything that's secretly happening behind the scenes, can game the system, use the system's own rules against it, and can separate themselves from the "abstract corporate entity", and declare that the government has only jurisdiction over that abstract entity, not they themselves as real physical people.

That's what they mean when they say "I'm a living man" (sometimes, although not always, clarifying with "not the all-caps corporate entity"). And the funny thing is that they seem to genuinely expect cops and judges to understand and acknowledge this, to know what it means, and to respect it.

(I have never, not even once, anywhere, seen an explanation by sovcits to why they believe that the government somehow is required to do this in the first place. In other words, why do they require to trick people into inadvertently and unknowingly consent to the government's jurisdiction, without revealing to them what exactly is happening. If the government is abusing citizens without their knowledge anyway, why do they need to abide by such secret rules? Who exactly is enforcing these secret rules? Is there some kind of super-secret super-entity behind the scenes making sure that lawmakers and judges abide by these strange rules, where people need to be tricked into unknowingly submit to the government's jurisdiction or else... what, exactly? Seriously, what exactly do sovcits expect to happen if eg. a judge were to not follow these secret rules? Would the super-secret governing organization punish the judge in some manner or something? And for what reason? Why would they even need to follow these strange rules? Is it like "we can freely abuse and fool citizens, but only if we follow these strict rules, for some reason"?)

So the most interesting question is: What do they base this particular belief in?

Like always with pretty much everything that they believe, they base it on a single word in a single document from hundreds of years ago. A word which usage they have completely misinterpreted (as they always do).

I kid you not. All of the above, and much more (the above is just a brief summary, believe or not), is based on the misinterpretation of one single word in one single document.

More precisely, the District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 describes municipal governments as "municipal corporations" in the legal sense.

They have literally taken that one word there, "corporation", ignored what it actually means in this context, ignored that it's only referring to municipal governments, and applied it to the entire United States government and constructed a huge amount of theories around it out of thin cloth.

The "citizens are abstract corporate entities" thing? Completely made up, based on nothing. The all-caps name thing? Completely made up, based on nothing. The secret bank accounts associated with each such "abstract corporate entity"? Completely made up. The government only having jurisdiction over the corporate entity, not the person? Completely made up. It's all completely made up, out of thin cloth, based on the misinterpretation of one single word in a document from 1871.

And, by the way, the definition of the word "corporation" in that context is: "an association of individuals, created by law or under authority of law, having a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members."

In other words, in this kind of legal context, particularly in the 1800's, "corporation" simply meant any entity composed of people established by law (such as, for example, a municipal government). It has nothing to do with private companies.
