Open source software development is becoming more and more politically radicalized

Rather obviously this was extremely easy to predict already over 10 years ago, in other words, that the open source development community, particularly everything involving Linux, would be invaded, taken over and completely radicalized by far-leftism and far-leftist activists. But while this was always an extremely easy prediction to make, it's still sad to see it happen before own very eyes.

The invasion was quite slow, quiet and "under the radar" for over a decade, but in the past year or so it has been put in full gear, and they are not holding back anymore. Project after project has become openly, blatantly and brazenly radicalized, with the most radical views and actions.

For example, the organization that's primarily in charge of the development of the X.org software and its attempted "successor" Wayland software, has for a couple of years now been on a very active and aggressive quest to completely kill the former and replace it with the latter (their own words, not interpretation). When one of the largest contributors to X.org, who had submitted hundreds and hundreds of patches and improvements to the project, and who got tired of them deliberately not being merged into the project, forked the project and created his own version with all the patches applied, calling it "Xlibre", the Wayland developers rose to the barricades, started claiming "ownership" of X.org (even though its license perfectly allows and encourages forks and independent development), and started using politics to try to smear this developer and the entire Xlibre project.

And of course we all know what happens when a persona non grata is the target of a far-leftist smearing campaign: All the far-leftists just swallow it whole, believe it without question, and join the smearing campaign.

It has become so bad that, for example, the Arch Linux project has not only completely banned Xlibre from their distro, but have set up a total and airtight censorship machine around it. Not only have they completely purged everything they control of any mention of even the existence of Xlibre, but moreover, if you go to any of their wiki sites, discussion forums or social media accounts and even mention "Xlibre" in any way, shape or form, no matter how innocently, even if you are just asking what it is or what happened with it, your post will be immediately expunged and you will be immediately permanently banned. And this will happen everywhere that they control, be it their own websites, be it their subreddits, be it their social media platforms (such as Facebook), be it any of their Discord servers. Anywhere where they can control in any way what you say, they will 100% censor any mention of even the existence of that project and unceremoniously and immediately ban anybody even writing that name.

Yes, that's how radical the Arch Linux team has become.

And that's even though there's absolutely nothing wrong with Xlibre, and the only "sin" of the primary author is that he doesn't discriminate against people, and is the target of a massive smearing campaign by far-leftists.

Arch Linux and also several other distros and open source projects have also started posting more and more radical and extremist "codes of conduct", many of them openly and brazenly expressing and embracing a totalitarian extremist reactionary attitude: If you make one step out of the party line, you will be immediately banned. You are not allowed to say anything that goes against the leftist catechism, period. Full stop. End of discussion. If you say anything that they don't like, they will smear you, they will attack you, they will harass you, and obviously they will ban you and remove everything related to you from anywhere where they have power.

On a slight tangent, is also quite curious, and telling, how much of "bootlickers" most of these radical leftists in these open source projects are. They have such an authoritarian mentality that they themselves are pretty much psychologically conditioned to submit to authoritarianism and authoritarian oppressive measures, even and especially when it comes from an actual government.

The greatest and most prominent example of this is the "age verification" scandal that has rocked the world recently, where for some absolutely incomprehensible and insane reason several states of the United States have proposed such laws. And what do you know, several of these Linux distro projects that have been invaded and taken over by extremist far-leftists have been fully on board with that, rather than, you know vocally opposing it. Several of them have already started developing the age verification thing into their distros. And, what do you know, Arch Linux in particular started once again censoring and banning anybody who would question the reasonability or morality of this, or even asked questions about it.

For some reason the Arch Linux team in particular has become so utterly radicalized that they are like the Stasi, and they can't lick official boots fast enough.

What the hell is even happening in the open source community? It's becoming crazier and crazier by the week, and it's only going to destroy itself with its own political radicalization.
