To the surprise of absolutely nobody, American leftists are currently protesting in support of the Iranian totalitarian regime, which has not only been brutally oppressing its people (particularly women) for decades, but became recently world-famous for ordering its law enforcement to start shooting at protesters, killing thousands of them. A particularly egregious human rights violation and a mass murder, but which was only the top of the iceberg.
It's not astonishing that American leftists are protesting in support of the Iranian government. That's just par for the course, and to be expected. What is sad about it is precisely that: That it is unsurprising and completely expected, and was very easy to predict. It just goes to show how unhinged and brainwashed the American left is. If they are told to protest in support of a totalitarian oppressive regime famous for its human rights violations and for mass-murdering its own citizens for engaging in protests, they will do that, without question, without hesitation, without criticism.
Also, par for the course, and completely unsurprisingly, the protests are extremely violent.
In New York, for example, they are doing their standard shtick, ie. blocking traffic, vandalizing public and private property and, most egregiously, harassing and outright physically assaulting people they deem to be "the enemy". And, again, the sad thing is precisely that: That this is not surprising, and to be expected.
The biggest failure, however, is once again the cops. However, they are being extra corrupt this time, because it's New York, a far-leftist city run by a far-leftist radical mayor.
Unsurprisingly, the cops are completely failing to uphold the law and stop the criminals who are breaking multiple laws. Again, that's to be expected by this point.
However, on top of that, the cops are going beyond that. Not only are they completely failing to stop and arrest the criminals, they are impeding, harassing and sometimes even arresting the counter-protesters.
That's right: They are not arresting the actual criminals who are vandalizing property and assaulting people. They are arresting the counter-protesters who have not broken any law.
The cops are telling the counter-protesters to "stop antagonizing" the masked criminals. As if the "antagonizing" itself is the crime, not the fact that they are being harassed and physically assaulted by those masked criminals. The cops are essentially saying "if you get assaulted, it's your own fault for antagonizing them. And we will arrest you for it on top of it."
Do you know what would actually stop the harassment and assaults? Arresting those who do it. That's what. But no, they won't do that.
The amount of corruption among American law enforcement is just astonishing.
