This is one of those misconceptions that not all flat-earthers hold (strangely enough), only some of them, but there are several examples of the latter, who have made YouTube videos about it.
And that's the strange idea that "you wouldn't be able to see the Sun and the Moon at the same time on a globe Earth". That seeing them on the sky at the same time somehow disproves the globe Earth and proves the flat Earth.
I seriously and genuinely have no idea why they think that. And, in fact, in none of the videos I have seen about this do they explain their reasoning. They just make that statement and... that's it. They don't explain any further. They don't even attempt to explain why, or what their reasoning and logic is. They never show graphics or pictures, or give any sort of geometric explanation. Or any explanation of any kind at all, geometric or otherwise. They just say it, and that's it.
It just goes to show the complete inability of some people to understand even the most basic geometry, no matter how simple and obvious (which is closely related to their complete inability to understand math.)
The misconception of "the Moon is only visible at night" is, of course, common among young children, and is a very infantile notion, which many children a bit later in life get a surprise when the learn that that's actually not true, and then sooner or later understand why that's the case, when they start understanding how the Sun-Earth-Moon system works (even if in a simplified form on a 2D plane).
Like with so many other misconceptions, many flat-earthers keep believing these infantile notions all the way to adulthood, and seem incapable of understanding (or accepting) otherwise.
In this particular case, they just stubbornly hold to that notion, not wanting to let it go, and either being completely incapable of, or outright refusing to research and know, what the actual explanation and real life situation is, the actual geometry of things.
Thus, they just state the notion as if it were this huge gotcha, this huge argument against the globe Earth, without having any understanding of it and not even trying to explain the reasoning behind it. They seem to be completely incapable of (or are outright refusing to) understanding why there is absolutely no problem with the Sun and Moon being visible at the same time on a globe Earth (and, in fact, is actually a geometric necessity.)
So there are multiple levels of misconceptions and delusion going on here: Not only do they have this vague misconception, but the next level of delusion is them thinking that it's somehow valid evidence. Plus, on top of that, they seem to completely lack self-awareness in that they don't even realize that they don't know why their argument is supposed to be valid, nor even want to think about it, much less explain it. They just state it as a matter-of-fact without even thinking about an explanation.
It just showcases the type of mental cognition that these people have.
