Australian government destroys invaluable human fossils in the name of political correctness

There are lots of absolutely horrifying stories of absolutely invaluable archaeological and anthropological artifacts and fossil remains being destroyed by completely inept and clueless people, or outright vandalized and destroyed by people with political or religious motives (such as Muslims destroying invaluable statues that are thousands of years old, because of their religion).

Not to be outdone, the Australian government wanted to join this group of absolute lunatics.

In Australia there have been discovered human fossils from about 40 thousand years ago, at the shores of former very old lakes (which had the precise conditions for fossils to be preserved). These humans had been clearly buried after death and ritualistically, giving us an invaluable amount of information about these very early human societies. The fossils were also extraordinarily well preserved, giving us almost entire skeletons.

Human fossils that are this old and well-preserved, and which clearly show indications of human rituals and culture, are extremely rare. We only have a handful of them in existence, in the entire world. Needless to say, this makes them astonishingly valuable from an archaeological, anthropological, biological, historical, cultural and overall scientific perspective. On top of that, because of their location in Australia, a completely isolated continent, and because of how early these fossils are, it makes them actually completely unique among all human fossils that have ever been found.

These fossils have been the subject of active research for a long time, with scientists learning new things from them as technology has advanced and more research has been done. And who knows how much more information could be gathered from them in the future, as technology and scientific knowledge advances even further.

It cannot be overstated how invaluable, unique and important these fossils are. These are some of the most invaluable and important archaeological treasures of the entire humanity.

Well, what do you know, enter the Australian government. They went ahead and destroyed all of those fossils. Poof. Gone. We don't have them anymore, and we will never be able to research them any more.

And why did they destroy them? Because of "political correctness."

No other reason.

The Australian government was convinced by some reports that these might have been the ancestors of current Australian aboriginals, and thus they proceeded to re-bury these fossils out of "respect" in a secret location. Fossils have to be carefully preserved or else they become degraded and destroyed over time. If they are buried into the ground into the wrong conditions, they will quickly degrade.

And they did this even though many Australian aboriginals vocally opposed them doing that, as they saw that as a willful destruction of their heritage and culture.

So there we have it. These absolutely invaluable human fossils completely destroyed in the name of "respecting" people who oppose this destruction because it's actually destroying their own history. They are gone. Poof. We will never be able to research them any further, even if in the future new more advanced technology is developed that could give more insight into them.

Thanks, Australian government, for destroying our past and invaluable artifacts. You are criminals and monsters, and you deserve to be put in jail. May all the people responsible for this go to the deepest pits of hell.
