What do "gender studies" graduates do for a living, update

In February of 2022 I made a blog post about "what do 'gender studies' graduates do for a living", where I noted how back then there were several examples of people getting fired for doing almost no work whatsoever in the companies they were hired, while still marking and billing full 40-hour weeks and even more, essentially defrauding the company of their money, hoping to go under the radar unnoticed in big companies that have thousands of employees. In other words, that's one way how "gender studies" graduates make a living.

Recent whistleblower leaks, especially from (but not restricted to) big video game companies, have revealed that this problem has only gotten worse over the years (and was probably already in effect back in 2022, although not as publicly known).

Unsurprisingly, over the years more and more "gender studies" diversity hires have gotten into management positions, making more and more decisions on who gets hired and how things are done in the company, and thus in more and more companies (most prominently several video game companies but of course not restricted to those) the above behavior has become more and more the norm rather than the exception. In more and more companies the above behavior is openly and unashamedly practiced, for everybody to see, as they don't even need to try to "fly under the radar" nor hide their leeching anymore.

Several whistleblowers from several such companies have indeed revealed how over the years there have been more and more "diversity hires" in these companies that very openly and unashamedly don't do any actual work in the company. They just hang around, they have their own "diversity equity and inclusion" private clubs within the company, they talk about their politics and sexual orientations all day long, and not just in private but in the office spaces where other people are trying to work. Even when they do some actual work, it's very little and very inefficient, and management gives them weeks to do tasks that would take a competent developer literally minutes.

Not only are they allowed to do this, but on the contrary any criticism of this is aggressively shut down. Not just by these leeches, but by the company management. Complaining to management that you can't do your job because the diversity hires are distracting people with their loud unrelated talk is only likely to get you fired, not them.

In other words, the "gender studies" graduates have become so numerous and so powerful that they have essentially taken over many companies and converted them into "university campus v 2.0", where they do nothing but lazy off and hang around, socializing among their echo chamber peers, rather than do any actual work.

I suppose that most of these companies are still managing somehow, thank to the actual competent employees who apparently are too scared to change jobs, and who are barely managing to keep these companies afloat. However, I suspect that this situation is unsustainable, especially since the diversity hires are so keen on having everybody else fired. I seriously believe that these companies either need a complete rehaul and restoration to their former selves, or they will go bankrupt (or be acquired by some Chinese megacorporation). The absolutely biggest behemoths (like Microsoft, Apple, etc.) will be able to stay afloat for longer, but the smaller the company, the less it can afford this kind of policies.
