My predictions for the Trump 2024 presidency

Eight years ago, when Donald Trump was elected the President of the United States for the first time, I made a prediction: If he got to the end of the presidency and none of the insane predictions by the far left came true, the American far-leftists would argue that it was their activism, their protests and their riots that stopped him from doing those things (thus justifying said protests and riots).

Their predictions were indeed quite insane. They predicted that if he gets elected, then the United States would essentially become Nazi Germany v.2.0, with stormtroopers, neonazis and hooded members of the KKK marching the streets taking minorities into concentration camps (if not outright just shooting or hanging them right there). They predicted these stormtroopers and federal police kicking people's doors open to take them into prison and concentration camps. They predicted mass deportations. They predicted the removal of all kinds of human rights, the annulment of the Constitution and the removal of the limits of presidential terms (allowing him to become President for life). They predicted the start of World War III.

None of that happened, of course. However, I was quite wrong in my prediction. That's because I assumed that even the far-leftist bigots would see that none of those predictions came to pass, and would start making excuses about it, the most likely one being that it was their activism that somehow stopped Trump from doing those things.

But I was mistaken. What actually happened was much more insane than that. What actually happened is that they just went radio silent on the wildest predictions (such as the concentration camps and World War III) and for the rest they just started pretending that those things did actually happen. They seriously started just pretending that rights had been removed, that minorities had been persecuted and discriminated against, that Trump committed all kinds of atrocities and crimes, that "racism" and violence from "far right fascists" had increased significantly. No evidence whatsoever of any of that, of course, but they still pretended for years like that was the case.

Ironically, one of their predictions came to pass (at least kind of): Roe v. Wade was annulled by the Supreme Court of the United States. The funny thing? It was annulled during Biden's presidency, not during Trump's. (Of course they still managed to blame Trump for it, even though he hadn't been in office for several years by that point. Everything they don't like is obviously Trump's fault, even when he is not in office.)

I have noticed a slight shift in their predictions, lies and distortions this time around. They are not so much talking about World War III, concentration camps or mass deportations (although that last one is still somewhat of a talking point, just not the primary one.) This time their main talking point, by far, is "women's rights", for some reason. Abortion being, of course, by far the number one such "right". Apparently they decided that this will be their campaigning strategy this time. Almost every single leftist meltdown after the election results has been about how "women's rights" will be completely removed and how they will essentially become slaves with no rights. Somehow they have been deeply, deeply indoctrinated into the belief that abortion is some kind of fundamental human right, that Trump will remove that right from the entire country and, most prominently, the removal of that "right" is somehow the greatest crime against humanity possible, and now they are crying desperately because this "right" will be removed from them, and they will essentially become chattel and slaves.

Rather obviously no women's rights will be removed. Also, quite ironically, the decision of the Supreme Court to end Roe v. Wade quite specifically forbids the federal government (obviously including the presidential administration) from imposing any laws regarding abortion onto the states. Not that Trump has even expressed any wish to do so, but even if he did, the Supreme Court would need to first create a new ruling on this before Trump could do anything. That's not going to happen. Neither thing will happen (ie. Trump trying to pass such laws, or the Supreme Court making a ruling allowing him to do so.)

And of course none of the other things they are predicting will happen either. They will of course use every trick in the book to distort, lie and cherry-pick in order to try to claim that he's doing the things they predicted, but it will be just hollow and transparent hogwash, all of it.

I suppose I'm going to make a boring prediction now: The same thing that happened before will happen again: If Trump gets to the end of his presidency and none of the things that they predicted ends up happening, they will just ignore the most obviously false predictions and for the remaining they will just keep pretending like he did those things. They will keep pretending like the rights of women and minorities were trampled and abused. They will keep blaming Trump for things he didn't do (either things that actually happened or that they merely falsely claim that happened.)

And, of course, the same mainstream media pundits (first and foremost CNN and MSNBC) will continue their anti-Trump propaganda every single day of the presidency, without fail. Not a single day will pass without them spouting anti-Trump propaganda, full of lies, distortions and outright fabrications. Every single of the 1461 days of the 4 years, plus hundreds of days before and after, without fail.

On the bright side, hopefully the economy of the country will now improve, and they can restore a semblance of sanity to what's happening at their south border.
