The most notorious heinous dictators in history have been classified as such for the real crimes against humanity that they committed.
Hitler created and commanded a political party that had the mission from the onset to exterminate all Jews from the world, and engaged in a mass extermination campaign that murdered an estimated 6 million people in concentration camps alone, and even more otherwise. The total number of murders (in peace time, ie. not counting casualties caused to enemy combatants during a war) directly enacted by this party, mostly for eugenics and political reasons, is estimated to be between 10 and 20 million people.
Stalin was even worse. The number of people, usually political dissenters, massacred (again, in peace time, not casualties of war) during his regime is estimated to be from 50 all the way to 100 million, which is just staggering, and dwarfs anything that even the nazis did.
Most dictators condemned by history did some really massive and heinous crimes against humanity, often to their own people, sometimes to others.
For over 3 years now the regressive left has been trying to make Donald Trump to be such a dictator, in part with, and even worse than those.
And they are trying to do this pretty much out of thin cloth.
What do they base all of this on? What heinous crimes against humanity has he committed that compares to the tens of millions of people massacred by those other dictators?
He is constantly, constantly, being accused of racism, even though nobody seems able to point out what exactly he has said or done that's racist. There are some lists out there that are really grasping at straws. They have to resort to something he said in the 70's, or when something like 10 years ago he used a term not considered politically correct, like "the blacks" (which apparently is "racist"). What a terrible crime against humanity!
He is constantly being accused of being a sexist and misogynist. The only argument they have to support this is that recording of him saying that "grab them by the pussy" thing. (In context, he was essentially saying that gold-diggers who want to get the favors of rich guys willingly allow groping them. Sure, this isn't really the nicest thing in the world to say, and he was being quite crass about it, but he was not, unlike they want you to believe, boasting about or advocating sexual molestation of women against their will. He was talking about gold-diggers who willingly allow themselves being groped for favors.)
Almost immediately after getting elected, Trump partially upheld a campaign promise he made to try to stop terrorists from entering the country, by creating a travel ban from 12 countries. This may be a bit unusual for the United States in particular, but it's not unusual world-wide. For instance, and a bit ironically, all of those particular 12 countries have in place a travel ban from Israeli citizens from entering their country. Something that the regressive leftists happily ignore and stay quiet about, even whey they know about it. The regressive left also happily ignores that the list of such countries was actually not created by the Trump administration. It was created by the Obama administration. (Obama was, in fact, a great proponent and supported of the "war on terror", but regressive leftists conveniently ignore all that, and blame Trump for everything.)
The juiciest piece that the regressive left, especially the mainstream media, has got is the treatment of illegal immigrants at the southern border. The media has deliberately created this narrative that there are pretty much in essence concentration camps at the southern border, where children are separated from their parents and put into cages. Leftists social justice warriors, of course, swallow all of this wholesale, willingly and gladly, and deliberately ignore any evidence of the contrary.
This is a completely false narrative. The media has created the narrative that these detention centers and the treatment of illegal immigrants there was created and enacted by the Trump administration, when in fact it has been exactly the same during the previous administration. In fact, the current form of detention centers was created during the Obama administration, when Obama enacted actions to heighten border control. Ironically, many of the photos shown in mainstream media about these detention centers are photos taken during Obama's presidency, not during Trump's.
Also, children are not being put into cages. Those photos have been deliberately framed and taken out of context. There are few wire fences in some of these detention centers to separate different areas inside the buildings. They are not cages. They are essentially just walls you can see through. These few photos have been deliberately framed to make them look as if they were cages.
In reality, children are only separated from parents while trying to find out if they are their actual parents, or some child traffickers or other criminals. Children are taken to facilities that are pretty much nursery homes.
All this was so during Obama, and pretty much nothing changed during Trump. Yet Trump is assigned 100% of blame for all this, even though he didn't create any of this. If anything, during Trump the handling of illegal immigrants has been made less severe.
It's very hard to point out any "crimes" that Trump may have been responsible for. Ironically, Obama still leads all recent US presidents in the number of casualties in foreign countries due to American military actions, and he leads in this number by a quite wide margin. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed by the US military in foreign countries during Obama. I don't know what the number is currently for Trump's administration, but it's very low in comparison. Yet nobody is blaming Obama for this.
Trump isn't really doing anything that many other previous presidents, very much including Democratic presidents, have been doing. Perhaps the travel ban is the only extraordinary act, but that's hardly a huge crime against humanity.
