Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most anticipated video game sequels of all time (perhaps only second to Half-Life 3, which unfortunately will actually never be made, at least not as originally planned, as has been clearly indicated by Valve.) This is largely because of the astonishing popularity of its predecessor, ie. Grand Theft Auto 5 (which is currently the second best-selling video game of all time, which is pretty remarkable and astonishing, when you think about it.)
In fact, it's so anticipated that waiting for it has become an outright popular meme (often of the form "we got (something unusual) before GTA6".)
Many people, however, have raised concerns about the possible leftist political messaging and content that the game might contain. These concerns are actually not recent; they get back several years. The concerns have only intensified with the published preview trailers.
There are some indications that Rockstar Games, the game studio developing the game (and the previous games in the series), is once again one of those game studios that has become infested and infected by far-leftist activists and their ideology. When they developed GTA5, they were still a completely normal game development studio, and that really shows in that game. However, there are indications that they have been infected since those days, and a lot of people have raised concerns about this affecting the content and quality of the sequel.
Some details of the preview trailers have also raised similar concerns, but so far it's relatively vague.
I suppose we can only wait for the game to be published to see how much it has actually been infected, or whether all those concerns are unjustified.
As for myself, I have zero intent to buy the game at launch. I'll just wait and see how infected it will be.
If the game turns out to be full of far-leftist political flags, imagery and messaging, I'll be voting with my wallet and playing something else. There's plenty of fish in the sea.
I think there's reason to be wary because several recent video games have shown that developers and publishers have actually significantly downplayed and even hidden the far-leftist messaging contained in the game from its promotional material (no doubt being fully aware of how it will be received by the masses.)
If the worst fears turn out to be completely unjustified and the game has no far-leftist messaging, and it's highly liked, then I might consider it at some point.
(Unlike many other far-leftism-infested recent games that have flopped, I doubt GTA6 will do so, regardless of what kind of content it has. Its predecessor is way too popular, and the anticipation for this sequel is way too high. I think it's pretty safe to say that it will sell tens of millions of copies in its first month alone, regardless of how much far-leftist messaging the game contains. Oh well, not all games will follow the "go woke, go broke" path. This will certainly be an exception to that rule, even if it turns out to be a fully woke game.)
