Far-leftist social justice warriors are constantly looking for that one thing that will give them the most power in society and enrage their own mobs the most into action, and these tools of outrage shift over time, as they go from fashionable topic to fashionable topic. As they move from one topic to another, they (usually) don't outright forget about the old topic, but it kind of loses its spotlight and isn't talked that much anymore.
One of these past topics and causes of outrage in the recent past was sexism and the degradation of women, how they are oppressed and taken advantage of by men and so on and so forth. Of course that's still one of their pet subjects, but in the current "trans activism" phase it has kind of been shoved a bit to the sideline and it isn't talked that much anymore (especially when it comes into contradiction with their current favorite pet subject). But anyway, they do still agree that oppression, subjugation and degradation of women is a bad thing.
In the recent past this was such a huge topic that they had massive protests and campaigns against it. One of the most infamous successes they had was to force FIA to ban so-called "grid girls" from Formula 1 events (this even though the women in question themselves publicly protested being fired from their jobs). Apparently it was degrading and humiliating and a tool of the Patriarchy to have sexy women as a sort of cheerleaders in a car racing event.
So, given this, one would think that far-leftist social justice warriors would heavily oppose pornography (especially that involving women).
Yet, for the overwhelming most part, they don't. Have you ever seen any sort of far-leftist campaign or protest against pornography? Demands to ban it, social engineering propaganda campaigns against it, calling it "sexist", "racist" and all the other buzzwords?
I have seen way too much far-leftist content (and its criticism) for far too long, yet I don't remember ever seeing far-leftists campaign for banning pornography. They succeeded in banning the "grid girls" from Formula 1, and there have been some campaigns against "harmful tropes" related to women in entertainment (movies, TV, etc), but I have never seen any sort of campaign against pornography.
It's really curious, isn't it? Why is that? One would think it would be one of their pet targets, yet it isn't. If there are any far-leftist activists who are actually against pornography, they really don't have their voices heard. It's not a popular topic among the left at all.
But why? What's the explanation for this?
