Leftists support taxing corporations... or do they?

If there's one thing you can be sure of the modern far leftist ideology, it's that it has absolutely no consistency and will flip-flop their opinions to the complete opposite at the drop of a hat, whenever it's most convenient for the narrative. What's today acceptable is tomorrow despicable, if it serves the narrative. What's today despicable is tomorrow mandatory, if it serves the narrative. Whatever the leftst intelligencia decides will be the gospel, and the far-leftist brainwashed drones will switch their opinions on the subject immediately, without question, without criticism, with zero self-awareness.

In most cases these opinions are relatively minor and inconsequential (such as whether there should be "spaces" exclusive for women which men can't enter, or whether homosexuality is an immutable innate characteristic you are born with and which can't be changed). However, sometimes they will flip-flop at the drop of the hat on quite major political issues.

Such as, for example, their stance on how much governmental regulation and taxation should be imposed on private corporations.

Twitter has been a haven for far-leftists for many years. It's pretty much their own "safe" playing ground, the largest social media platform on the internet, with borderline fascistic rules and rule enforcement favoring the far left and discriminating against non-leftists (not just the far right, but anybody who is not a far-leftist).

Whenever people have criticized Twitter for politically biased censorship (conservatives expressing genuinely mild opinions on Twitter may be censored and sometimes even banned, while far-leftist activists expressing very extremist despicable opinions against groups of people can do so with complete impunity and without any censorship or consequences), the left has resorted to the capitalist rhetoric of "it's a private company, they can freely choose their clients, they can do whatever they want", and they oppose any governmental regulation that would ensure freedom of speech and unbiased enforcement of rules. (Curious how they usually hate and loathe free market capitalism, but will embrace its principles when it favors them...)

But then Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world, and who is notoriously "based", threatens to (essentially) buy the company and, ostensibly, make it a more politically neutral platform that espouses the universal right to free speech, and suddenly leftists are asking for governmental intervention! Suddenly we desperately need the government to step in and stop this from happening! Not even kidding. "Twitter is a private company that can do whatever they want" is suddenly flushed down the drain, when that principle is biting them in the posterior.

But perhaps an even more notorious example is what's happening between the government of Florida and Disney (which has one of its gigantic amusement parks in that state).

You see, Disney and the state of Florida currently (and for the longest time) have a special arrangement that pretty much makes the Disney Florida park tax-free, ie. Disney doesn't need to pay no (or almost no) taxes to the state, for anything that they do within their premises. (I assume this arrangement exists because the state considers the vast amount of tourism generated by the park to be such a significant source of income that it's beneficial to incentivize Disney to keep their park running.)

Recently the government of Florida passed a bill that limits the teaching in schools (from kindergarten to the 9th grade) to be age-appropriate. It's in essence an "anti-grooming" bill designed to stop the far-leftist teachers from indoctrinating children into becoming "transsexual" (which is happening more and more in the US, at an alarming rate). Children are impressionable and they can be easily intentionally confused and indoctrinated into believing and saying whatever the activist teachers want. This is dangerous because in the current United States this will easily lead them to start taking puberty blockers and hormone treatments, which will have permanent damaging effects.

(That's indeed the case. There's a somewhat widespread notion, implicitly and sometimes explicitly endorsed by the far-leftist activists, that puberty blockers and hormone therapies are harmless in that their effects are reversible if the treatment is stopped. This is not the case. Both drugs do cause permanent changes that do not reverse by themselves even when taking them is stopped. The longer the treatment continues, the more pronounced and the less reversible the changes are. Any "transsexual" who has taken hormones for years (without surgeries) will tell you this. They know this because they are experiencing it for themselves. Physical changes caused by the hormones do not fully reverse even if they stop taking the hormones.)

Disney quite notoriously opposed the bill (repeating all the same lies as the leftist media was telling about it). This caused a feud between the company and the Florida government, especially its governor. As a response to this feud, the governor is seriously threatening to end the tax-exempt status of Disney Florida.

Unsurprisingly, the far left is on Disney's side... and want them to retain their tax-exempt status.

Which goes completely against their socialist and pseudo-socialist stances on taxation. For years and years the far left in the United States has demanded higher taxes, especially for corporations, and has heavily criticized any tax cuts and tax exemptions to corporations.

Except, of course, when said taxation would go against their own agenda.

If there's one thing you can be certain about the far left is that's you can't expect any kind of consistency from them.
