The International Olympic Committee is destroying women's sports

The International Olympic Committee recently published "transgender guidelines" for all of its national members essentially saying that any man should be allowed to compete in women's sports, pretty much no questions asked. No demands whatsoever. No surgeries, no hormones, nothing. The man merely has to state that he is a "woman", and that's enough, he should be allowed to participate in women's sports.

What's most baffling, and telling, is that these guidelines suggest that there's no evidence that men have an advantage in sports compared to women. You know, disregarding the hundreds of years of quite clear evidence, including thousands and thousands of competition results, world records, averages and so on, that indicate otherwise.

As some people have aptly put, this current insane movement is pretty much ending women's sports, and we are quickly becoming a world where there are only two categories of sports: Men's sports, and mixed sports. Women's sports will have been completely eradicated.

It's quite ironic that this just allows men to do what feminism has been criticizing men of doing for millenia: Taking advantage of women, abusing women, and taking away and appropriating everything that women have. In this case, men will be able to, quite easily, take away all the sports wins, medals and, in some cases, prize money, from women. Women will have pretty much no chance (except in individual events where no male athlete decides to participate).

The irony here is that if female athletes wouldn't want this unfair situation to be enacted and all their chances of winning in competition taken away from them, they would have a very easy way to combat it: A complete boycott of all such events. Just don't show up. Have spectators attend empty events where either no athlete shows up or, if any do, those few will just be men.

This would be a quite effective tactic. Nobody can force a person to participate in a sporting event if she doesn't want to. It's not like the Olympic Committee can go and drag female athletes by force to the events and force them to participate at gunpoint. If nobody shows up, there's little they can do. This would make them reconsider quite quickly.

So, what's the "irony" here, that I mentioned? The fact that the vast, vast majority of female athletes will not do that. They will not participate in a total boycott. They will keep showing up to these events and submit to them, even if they are certain to lose because there are men participating. They would have the perfect weapon, the perfect form of protest against this injustice, but the vast, vast majority of them will not use it, and instead they will just submit and resign to their fate, and keep participating in the events.

Well, if they aren't ready to stand up for their rights, they are going to lose them. And, in this case, the means to fight against the injustice would be so easy. They literally don't have to do anything. That's like the easiest form of fighting injustice that there could ever be. But no.
